Xuanzhu Temple
Xuanzhu temple in Weibaoshan, Taoist temple. In Weishan Yi and Hui Autonomous County of Yunnan Province, Dongshan is at the foot of Weibao mountain.
Built in the Tang Dynasty, it was originally the monastic ancestral hall of Nanzhao. In the Tang Dynasty, Taoists came to Weibaoshan to spread Taoism and took it as a Taoist temple. Wang Deqing, the master of Taoist temple in Xuande period of Ming Dynasty (1426-1435), transformed it into a regular Taoist temple. The Taoist temple was destroyed in fire in the late Ming Dynasty, rebuilt in the early Qing Dynasty, destroyed in fire again in 1869, and rebuilt in 1875-1908. The temple is mainly composed of Yuhuang Pavilion, Sanguan hall, Sisheng hall, luzu hall, Guandi hall, God of wealth hall and daoshe hall. It is the largest Taoist temple in the Ming Dynasty in Weibaoshan.
