Baiqiutian

Baiqiutian village is located at the foot of Zhangshan mountain, about 3 kilometers away from the southern suburb of Huidong County. It is one of the birthplaces of Huizhou modern peasant movement and the commanding place of Pingshan three uprisings. In 1923, baiqiutian established the earliest peasant association in Huizhou.

The birthplace of agricultural transportation in Huizhou

During the revolutionary war, baiqiutian was the headquarters of three uprisings in Pingshan. This small mountain village, with only a few hundred people, has been subjected to 12 times of bloody cleansing by the reactionaries, and the red flag has never fallen.

History of baiqiutian

During the reign of Kangxi in the Qing Dynasty, yongfugong, the ancestor of Zhu family, moved from Wuhua County to baiqiutian, which is surrounded by mountains.

On the gate of the scenic spot built by thatch at the entrance of baiqiutian village, there is a couplet with the words "a new group of people are interested in the party, the sky is full of brilliant ambition". In the green, a white statue stands on the hillside, that is Zhu guanxi, leader of the peasant movement in baiqiutian village and President of Pingshan peasant association. More than 80 years ago, he brought revolutionary fire to baiqiutian from pengpai. Not far away from the Leigu stone under the ancient banyan tree is the site where Zhu Guanxi led the first group of Communist Party members to take the oath in the autumn of 1925. Interestingly, it is composed of two large stones. When people knock on the stone above, it will give out a "Dong Dong" echo.

A brief introduction to baiqiutian

In the back of the village, there are undulating mountains, long streams, cliffs and cliffs. In particular, caves are scattered and connected. It is a wonder in the mountains, so it is called Wandong mountain. Walk more than 20 minutes from the foot of the mountain to Wandong pass. During the revolutionary wars, these caves were secret warehouses for the peasants, guerrillas and villagers to hide and store grain and ammunition. It is said that more than 500 soldiers of Dongjiang column set up camp here at most once. To the reactionaries, the terrain of Wandong mountain is complex, like a labyrinth.

Baiqiutian is still an undeveloped tourist scenic spot, in which there are countless wild plants; the original boulders have different shapes, maintaining the existing posture, without the lettering of literati, and occasionally only the red paint fire-proof handwriting. The streams in Shijian are clear and lively. They run and sing naturally. They also raise wild fish, shrimp and snails. They are small but also naturally active. The road up and down the mountain is not rugged, though it is mostly made by nature. Along the way, you can follow the path of sheep's intestines, or jump from the rocks. Among the paths, the ancient vines are coiled or stretched, and there are beautiful skin pool, love cliff, ship stone and other small scenic spots. The fun is better than the amusement park in the city.
