Gongga County in Shannan area is located in gonggaxue village. Duojidan temple, also known as "Gongga Temple". It was founded by tudun gungananjie in 1464.

Origin and development

According to the records of the miracles of Weizang Daochang, the construction of duojidan temple is extremely beautiful. In the pure incense room in the back hall of the main hall, there is the skull of banqin gyedoro, and there is a very unique image of Sakyamuni in the skull. In the temple, there are also Shixu (external affairs focusing on body, language and mind), xingxu (Yoga samadhi Dharma focusing on the interaction of external body, language and internal thoughts), yoga Xu (Yoga samadhi Dharma focusing on inner cultivation) and supreme yoga Xu (Yoga samadhi Dharma focusing on inner cultivation). Even the forty-five Dharma practices of huishuangrong and dongkong Shuangrong are very exquisite for Mandala.

Gungananjie, tudun

Gungananjie, tudun (1432-1496)

Duojitan temple was founded in 1464. It was born in Tumi family in tun place of Nimu County, Lhasa City, so it is known as "tudun". His name is "zaanjeb", because he was good at reciting the five great tuoronis when he was young, so he has this title. Later, he received the precepts of bhikkhu from Ji jiangbalinba (Master Cizhou), and learned the method of Xianmi from zongba sonan sangbu. When he was 33 years old, he built the duojitan temple to the east of Gongga in the former Tibet. He popularized Sakya's teachings and became the most powerful Daoism center of the former Sakya sect.

Sakya

Sakya school (1034-1102)

It was founded by gonchajeb in 1073. Gongcho jiebu claimed to be a descendant of the Kun family, an aristocrat in the Tubo Period. Long songdezan (8th century) shaved the first group of monks in Tibet in Sangye Temple (today's Zang county), including the Kun family.

Tudun gungananjie's legal system is called "post zongba system" or "Gongga system". In the aspect of Esoteric Buddhism, there are three branches of Sakya: Er, cha'er and Gongga.

Er school

Er school (1382-1456)

It was founded by Erqin gonggasanbo. Gonggasanbo grew up and studied in Sakya. He once served as the Kanbu of Sakya temple. According to legend, more than 12000 people came from all over the world to receive precepts from him. In 1429, when he was 48 years old, he founded the iwang qudan temple, commonly known as the "Er Temple", which became an important place for the Sakya sect to teach Esoteric Buddhism in the later Tibet. The Gongga tribe was founded by tudun gungananjie, and the duojitan Temple became an important place for former Tibetan to teach sakyami.

Chaer tribe

Chaer tribe (1496-1566)

It was founded by cherchin rosejiacuo. He first became a monk in zhashlunbu temple, and then changed to study the two tribes of Sakya, ER and Gongga, and the secret Dharma that these two sects did not pass on. His permanent residence in the temple is tudan Genpei temple, and he has many disciples. The fifth Dalai Lama also learned Dharma from his descendants.
