Bronze Age sites

The Bronze Age sites in Shanwei city include the baoshanlou site and the back door bronze weapon site. Among them, the baoshanlou site is located in longgangpu in the valley east of baoshanlou village, Dongchong Town, and the backdoor weapon excavation site is located two kilometers southeast of backdoor Town, Haifeng County. The baoshanlou site dates back more than 2500 years from the Western Zhou Dynasty to the spring and Autumn period. The stone models of bronze axes, bronze bells and bronze stone hairpins were found here, which indicates that this site was a very important bronze foundry at that time, and the bronze weapons unearthed at the back door were excavated by local people here in April 1984. At that time, more than 10 skeletons were found, three of which had no skull, and three bronze weapons were inserted in their ribs: dagger, spear and arrowhead. According to research, they were cast in the bronze age. But why don't three of them have skulls? This may be the result of the war between the southern tribes in the spring and Autumn period, when the victors "cut their heads to ask for merit" or "cut their heads to show to the public" against the leaders who were injured, killed or captured in the war.
