Heisenchulu Scenic Area

Hesen chulu strange stone city is located in nurige Sumu, Alxa Right Banner, 220 kilometers away from the location of the banner house. "Hesen chulu" is a Mongolian transliteration, which means a stone like a pot. In the area of more than 20 kilometers, wind eroded stones ranging from tens of cubic meters to fist size can be seen everywhere. There are many strange stones in different shapes, like a huge eagle flying in the sky, like a "mushroom cloud" They are various and lifelike. Compared with Yunnan Stone Forest and Huangshan grotesque rocks, they are not inferior, making people feel the infinite charm of nature. According to experts' research, the strange stone here is granite. Thousands of years ago, it was the sea floor. After long-term erosion by sea water, the rocks formed round, oval or rudiment. Later, due to the continuous change of geological structure, the sea floor rose to land, and the original stone gradually formed such a strange shape after wind erosion. In the Qing Dynasty, Gaotai County Government in Gansu Province discovered this unique strange stone area and named it "Shicheng". There are several springs in the scenic area, the largest of which is also called "Shicheng spring". Because the huge original stone where the spring is located is in the shape of a reclining Buddha, it is also called "Reclining Buddha spring". It is said that the inscription "Li Qin of Gaotai County government came to Shicheng spring on April 15, the 38th year of Kangxi" was left by Gaotai County Government to open a gold mine in the Qing Dynasty, which has certain historical research value.
