Lanzhou Botanical Garden

Lanzhou botanical garden covers an area of 550 mu. There are more than 100 kinds of trees in the garden, including more than 10 kinds of precious trees such as Ginkgo biloba and silk cotton. The "Dunhuang garden" in the garden is enlarged according to the original scene of Kunming World Expo Garden.

The Institute of Botany covers an area of 50 mu, more than 7000 square meters of flower greenhouse, cultivates more than 100 varieties of flowers and plants, more than 50 varieties of indoor ornamental flowers, and more than 70 new varieties. It is the main flower research and cultivation base in Lanzhou. At the same time, the botanical garden is also planning to build a herbarium, a photo studio and a group of sculptures for scientists. The garden is a large open park integrating cultivation, appreciation, leisure and entertainment of high-tech rare plants.

The transportation is very convenient. Take bus No.20 in the city to the botanical garden. Take bus No.3, 121, 103, 310 to liujiabao station. Take Zaolin road northward to the botanical garden.

There are more than 200 species and 600000 plants in the park, among which Abies, metasequoia, Sabina, gingko, eucommia, maolaimu, maple, Quercus liaotungensis, junqianzi, birch, Liriodendron, Magnolia, goushu, lacquer tree, Haloxylon, longsang, Xanthoceras sorbifolia and chazhangzi are more precious species. Nine varieties of lilies and 27 varieties of perennial flowers, including ornamental, edible and wild, have been collected and planted in the built Lily Garden and perennial flower garden. In the future, rose garden, clover garden, pine and cypress garden, peony garden, fruit garden and herb garden will be built step by step according to plant classification to highlight the plant varieties with northwest characteristics.
