Ziyang Park

It is a green ecological park integrating historical and cultural education, public leisure and entertainment. Ziyang Park was named because of the nickname of Zhu Xi, a famous philosopher and educator in the Southern Song Dynasty. Ziyang Park, located in the middle of Youxi River between Youxi County and Shuidong new town, is a sandbank island. The island used to be a park with old facilities, named "sandbar Park". Now, this "footprint" shaped island has a more cultural new name "Ziyang Park". "Ziyang" is the nickname of Zhu Xi. Zhu Xi was born in Youxi County. The park and the riverside landscape parks on both sides of the Strait jointly form the "eight gardens and ten sceneries" with the themes of ancient city charm, lucky stars, seeking bridge, reading books and asking water, Yongquan Sixiao, Yuyue Haitian, Rongyin nostalgia and fuming Yanbo, forming the "one ring and two lines" exhibition area of Zhuzi culture.

The construction of the park also makes full use of the local plant resources such as Phoebe, gingko, peach, Cinnamomum camphora, etc., with four varieties of Cinnamomum cassia, Osmanthus fragrans, silver Cinnamomum cassia and four seasons Cinnamomum, forming a natural plant community with the fragrance of peach, willow, green Cinnamomum, and becoming a good place for people's green leisure.
