Little luobotou Memorial Hall

Song Zhenzhong is the youngest revolutionary martyr in the Republic of China. In order to let the people of his hometown remember him forever, Balu Town, Pizhou City, Jiangsu Province, invested more than 8 million yuan to build the "little luobotou" memorial hall at the foot of the beautiful mountain.

Introduction to the memorial

Xiaoluobotou memorial hall is located at the foot of Mount Yi, Balu Town, Pizhou City, Jiangsu Province. The museum is designed by Professor Zhang Hong of Southeast University, a disciple of Qi Kang, a famous architect in China. It covers an area of more than 90 mu, with a total investment of more than 8 million yuan, a building area of 2600 square meters, three floors in some parts and six exhibition rooms. The first floor is the main exhibition hall, and the second floor is the projection hall and the library. The main exhibition hall respectively shows more than 200 pictures and some objects of the persecution of little luotou song Zhenzhong, his father song Qiyun and his mother Xu Linxia after they were arrested in Chongqing "baigongguan", "zhazidong", Guizhou Xifeng concentration camp and Guiyang qilindong secret prison.

Brief introduction of little luobotou

Song Zhenzhong grew up with his mother in the women's prison. He didn't see his father in the men's prison until he was four or five years old. Because he lived in a dark, damp cell all year round and ate moldy and smelly rice, when he was eight or nine years old, Xiao Zhenzhong was only as tall as a child of four or five years old. He became a big, thin, yellow and skinny child. His friends affectionately called him "little luotou". "Little luotou" has been very sensible since he was a child. His mother Xu Linxia went to do hard work in order to give him some soybeans to eat. But every time he had dinner, "little luotou" always let his mother eat. He also often collects some rags and socks for his mother to make shoes. From the age of five, he learned to mend his own clothes. When "little luotou" was six years old, his father asked him to go to school. The secret agents were afraid of exposing their crimes and refused to let him go. After many struggles, they agreed that General Huang Xiansheng, a political prisoner in the same prison, would teach him to study. "Little luobotou" studies very hard, has a strong memory, is also very polite, and respects the teacher very much. Prison life made "little luobotou" understand a lot of truth. He was deeply impressed by the inhuman abuse and torture of communists by Kuomintang secret agents and the unyielding and heroic struggle spirit of Communists, which made him know who to hate and love from an early age. He also often helps adults do secret work. Because of his young age, the spies were not very strict with him, so he often passed information between the cells. After the news of the victory of the Huaihai Campaign reached the prison, it was he who passed from the men's prison to the women's prison, and from upstairs to downstairs. Whenever adults discuss things, "little luobotou" always sits at the door and watches. He also helps Da Ru understand the situation of his comrades in prison and pass things on. Before the KMT fled, the agents arranged to kill "little luotou" and his parents. The cruel enemy killed his parents with a bayonet and forced him to "little carrot head". "Little turnip head" cried: I have no sin, I want to go out. Yang Jinxing, the inhumane executioner, killed him with a few knives in his chest. After liberation, the people's government recognized song Zhenzhong and his parents as revolutionary martyrs.

Collection quality

The museum is built by Balu town. The memorial hall is designed by experts from Southeast University. The whole design is novel, unique, solemn and generous. The memorial hall has two floors, one is the office area and six exhibition halls, and the second is the 350 square meter multimedia projection hall. The total construction area is 3000 square meters. Since the project was officially started on April 20, the Party committee and government of Balu town have attached great importance to it, overcame the difficulties of insufficient funds and rainy days, made it clear that a leader in charge is specifically responsible for it, and coordinated to solve the problems. Through efforts, the project is progressing smoothly. The main project has been basically completed and the interior decoration will be carried out soon. It mainly includes the installation of lamps and glass walls, the painting of walls, the laying of plastic floors and the layout of exhibition halls.

At the same time, the ancillary works of the memorial hall are also in full swing. Weeping willows have been planted around Longquan Lake behind the hall, and the 40000 square meter Memorial square in front of the hall is being backfilled.

There are seven exhibition halls in the museum, which mainly display the historical background of the Xi'an Incident, the five prisons where little luotou was imprisoned all his life, the stills of little luotou's story, the statues of little luotou, the national youth group Yingpu, the reappearance of prison scenes, zhazidong, Xifeng concentration camp and some objects.
