Yunmao Temple

Yunmang temple is located on the cliff of guayuefeng in Panshan scenic spot, Jixian County, Tianjin city. It is the highest temple in Panshan. It was built by Taoist Masters in the Tang Dynasty, formerly known as "dragon subduing nunnery". In the reconstruction of the Ming Dynasty, Yunmao temple was granted, with a stone tablet erected in 1585. Because of its proximity to the summit, clouds cover the fog, so it is called "cloud cover Temple". There are Maitreya hall and Huanglong hall in the temple, which are dedicated to the thousand leaf lotus Buddha. The emperor of Wanli ordered the eunuch to build the temple.

On the top of the peak stands the stupa of dingguang Buddha. "The pagoda is really the same as that of Xiaohan, and the vast mountains are low." The tower can be seen from dozens of miles away. It was first built in the Tang Dynasty and rebuilt in the Ming Dynasty. It is said that it contains 60 pieces of relic.

In front of the temple, there is a stele of "rebuilding Yunmao Temple", which says: in the seventh year of Qianlong's reign in Qing Dynasty, Emperor Qianlong came back from his visit to the mausoleum. It was ordered to repair its walls and build new pillars. " And restored the fallen stupa of dingguang Buddha. In the temple, there was a plaque inscribed by the emperor in the 17th year of Kangxi: "Mount Panshan Xiufeng" and "Yunfeng fajie". The inscription on Qianlong's imperial script: "the golden world is always bright" and "living in the wisdom mountain". There is also a couplet: "green mountains and white clouds are always at ease, Chan Yuefa likes to realize that there is no life." Cloud cover temple, North Xiufeng, south of the ravine, high and low scattered, layer by layer. Emperor Qianlong called this temple a great success. The main hall is dedicated to the "three body Buddha", surrounded by thousands of Buddhas on four walls, and the East and West halls are dedicated to the Bodhisattva of pharmacist and the Bodhisattva of dizang.

A peak stands in the east of the temple, which is the main peak of Mount Panshan - the moon hanging peak, with an altitude of 864.4 meters. Climb this peak and see all the mountains. At the top of the peak is the stupa of dingguang Buddha, with seven octagonal stories and a height of 13.3 meters. It was built by Zen master Zhiyuan during the reign of Yanhe of Tang Dynasty. The Zilai peak is connected with the Guayue peak. On the peak, there is a Bell Pavilion with six corners and double eaves, with ancient bells hanging inside. It is famous for "one bell shocks three counties". Yunmang temple, adjacent to the top of Panshan mountain, with an altitude of more than 800 meters, is the highest temple in Panshan mountain. It's named because it's near the peak and the clouds cover the fog. It was once praised as "extraordinary victory" by Emperor Qianlong of Qing Dynasty. It was built in Tang Dynasty and destroyed in modern war. It was rebuilt in August 1992 and opened to the outside world. Yunmao temple is composed of five bay main hall, three Bay auxiliary hall, scripture hall, Mountain Gate, platform and other buildings. In the main hall, there are three Golden Lotus Buddha with a height of 4 meters, and a thousand Buddha niche on the four walls. Located here, you can see the sea of clouds, watch the sunrise, listen to the pines, and hit the ancient bell. When the bell struck, it was heard that Tianbo earthquake struck Sanxian. In the east of yungai Temple lies the top hanging moon peak of Panshan mountain. The stupa of dingguang Buddha standing on the hanging moon peak has a strange and dangerous appearance, which is in contrast with Yunmao temple. Yunmang temple, formerly known as Jianglong temple, was built by master daozong of Tang Dynasty. In the 30th year of Wanli in Ming Dynasty, it got its name because it was close to the top and covered by clouds and fog. Qianlong of the Qing Dynasty wrote the inscription "the golden world is always bright" and "living in the wisdom mountain" The title couplet "the green mountains and white clouds are always at ease, the Zen is happy and the Dharma is happy to realize that there is no life.".
