The reading desk is located in the north of Taiping Town, Jiangyou City, Sichuan Province, ten kilometers away from the urban area. It's named for Li Bai's study here. It is also called xiaokuang mountain, diandeng mountain and Hanlin mountain. Its beautiful mountains, like a brush pointing to the blue sky. Green pines and cypresses on the mountain are very luxuriant, and the river is clear at the bottom of the mountain. Du Guangting, a poet of Shu before the Five Dynasties, visited the reading platform. After paying attention to the remains of Taibai, he wrote that "there is still a reading platform in the mountains. The wind sweeps the clouds and the painting barriers open.". Huayue curling is still there. When will Qinglian Curie come. It is said that Li Bai's family lived by the ancient Yinping road beside the Qinglian field. Because of frequent business trips, he was not immune from the troubles of the world and influenced his reading. So, he chose the beautiful hill by the river.

On the mountain, he not only read in the daytime, but also read with high lights until dawn every night. From then on, every night, people can see lights dozens of miles around the mountain. It is also said that the green pines and cypresses around the reading platform incline to the temple in the center of the reading platform.

On the mountain is the Taibai Temple rebuilt in 1888, and the plaque of "reading platform" inscribed by GE Jun. There are also two inscriptions on the Taibai reading platform built in the 14th year of the reign of Emperor Guangxu of the Qing Dynasty. On the brick walls of the hall, there are the words "the reading platform was built at the age of Wuzi in the 14th year of Emperor Guangxu of the Qing Dynasty". Once there was a couplet saying: "the book can be read on the stage, and the characters should be put into storage" and "write down the sky, and the Qi runs through the star half; hold the heart to invite the moon, and the poetry frightens the ghosts and gods." "When is the bottle full of wine, and when is the moon falling, and when is the desk empty, and when is the cloud locked." "Light without shadow, stone out of sound" and so on. There is also a bookcase rock on the reading platform. It is said that after Li Bai finished reading a book, he put it on the rock. Over time, these books became rocks. The reading desk is one of the important relics of Li Bai in his hometown. I don't know when it originated. Every March of the lunar calendar, people come to the reading desk to pay tribute to Li Bai. However, most of them prayed for Li Bai, the immortal poet, to protect their children and grandchildren from going to school. This custom has been followed and is still popular today.
