Former site of the third Red Army Headquarters
The former site of the headquarters of the third red army is located at the east foot of wuxia village, Wuchi village, Wuchi township. It was built in 1728, the sixth year of Yongzheng reign in Qing Dynasty. In May 1930, the Red Army guerrillas in southern Zhejiang were formally established as the 13th army of the workers' and peasants' Red Army. Hu gongmian, commander of the army, Jin Guanzhen, political commissar, and Chen Wenjie, director of the political department were the military headquarters, which was located in the nearby mountainous areas. Under the leadership of the Central Military Commission, the red tenth army was one of the 14 Red Army regiments in China. It had three regiments with a total of about 6000 people. After more than 100 battles, it conquered Lishui, Pingyang and Jinyun counties and dealt a heavy blow to the reactionary rule of the Kuomintang. Where the red army went, it publicized the ten platforms, carried out the agrarian revolution, established the red political power, educated and mobilized the masses, effectively cooperated with the Agrarian Revolutionary War in the whole country, and laid a solid foundation for the later activities of the Red Army advancing into the division, the establishment of the guerrilla base in southern Zhejiang and the further development of the party organization. The temple has been in disrepair for a long time and has been seriously damaged. Since 1985, the state has allocated funds and local governments have raised funds to build a bridge and renovate the former site of the general's headquarters. A monument to the 13th army of the Chinese workers' and peasants' Red Army stands on the right side of the hill, and a memorial hall for the war history of the Red Army is built on the left side. It is now the provincial patriotic education base. In 1989, it was listed as the third batch of cultural relics protection units in Zhejiang Province. On March 5, 2013, it was announced as the seventh batch of key cultural relics protection units in China
