Jiayin Hall

The main building of Jiayin hall imitates the Ming Dynasty structure, commonly known as "Shamao hall". It is named because the wooden statue of Liang Tou is the wing of the official hat of Ming Dynasty. The courtyard is large and spacious, solemn and solemn. "Eight steeds" is engraved on both sides of the five beams, and "Phoenix wears peony" is engraved on both ends of the beam. The bottom of the beam is engraved with such patterns as "satisfactory" and "definitely high school". What's more rare is that "shamaoyi" (i.e. liangtoupang wood) is engraved with "guchenghui, sanyingzhan Lvbu" and other eight operas in the romance of the Three Kingdoms.

Jiayin Hall

Jiayintang is located in Wujiang, Jiangsu Province. It was built in 1922. The owner of the house, Liu Bingnan, lives in the same family as the famous patriotic poet Liu Yazi. Mr. Liu Yazi once lived here.

The main entrance of Jiayin hall is a Shikumen type wall door. The raw materials used for the wall are delicate, and the wall is made of fine clear water brick processed by water mill, and the mortar is used to make the wall look clean and bright. Although he did not enter the room, it has given people a sense of refreshing. Looking up through the hall, I saw "Fu, Shou, Lu."

On both sides of the five beams are carved with pictures of eight steeds. On both ends of the beam are carved with "wind and cold peony" and on the bottom of the beam are engraved with patterns such as "contentment" and "certain high school". Even a fist sized piece of "Fengtou" is also carved with lotus pods implying "even birth of a noble son". It's really beautiful. What's more rare is that eight vivid pictures, such as "Gucheng Hui", "Sanying Zhan Lvbu", "Sangu Maolu" and "straw boat borrows arrow" in the romance of the Three Kingdoms (Romance of the Three Kingdoms), are engraved on the Shamao wing (i.e. bamboos), which makes people wonder. This group of wood carvings has been included in the Suzhou section of the history of Chinese opera.

Out of Jiayin hall and down the wall, you come to the back street of Jiayin hall, where the street is green and the water turns with the road; the pedestrians on the street are leisurely, the trees on the bank are dancing, the fishing songs in the distance are accompanied by the setting sun, and the paintings nearby are happy with the green water All this seems to imply: why do you come back?

Jiayin hall is like a song from ancient times, a quiet song, echoing in the hearts of tourists for a long time.
