Fortaleza de S. The Australian and Portuguese government built the fort on the basis of the original crude fort in 1622 and the fort of San Diego fort in 1629. The San Diego fort, which is equipped with 16 cannons, faces the sea to defend the enemy from water invasion. The fortress was built with barracks, armory and grain storehouses, cisterns and the chapel of Saint Jacob. In 1981, the fortress was changed into a five-star hotel, but the original city walls, tunnels, churches and other cultural relics were still maintained, which combined with the Portuguese style design.

The entrance and exit of the arched gate are engraved with the year 1745, while the front of the small hall is engraved with the year 1740. It can be inferred that the fort was built in 1740, and a small hall was rebuilt or rebuilt at the same time. The whole project was completed in 1745. As for the highest part of the fort facing the coast outside the arch gate, the inscription "1848" is engraved in stone. It may be that governor yamala (the man who used to ride the bronze statue of Nanwan on a horse) once made war achievements here in that year.

Although all the above evidences suggest that the Mako fort was completed in 1629, before the Dutch army intended to invade Macao on that day, the Dutch had already known the terrain of Macao and the reality of the Portuguese army's defense. This can be seen from the documents of the seizure of the Netherlands by the Macao government after the war between the Dutch and Portuguese armies. It is mentioned in the document that "there are few troops stationed in the dashanba fort and the mage fort, and their resistance is weak. If the Dutch can control the fort in the East, they can overcome the whole of Australia. From this, we can see that mage Fort should have been built before 1629, because the beginning of the feud between the Netherlands and Macao was much earlier than this year, and the so-called completion of the fort in 1629 is probably due to different things.
