Taibai Mountain National Forest Park is located in Meixian County, Baoji City, Shaanxi Province, at the north foot of Taibai Mountain, the main peak of Qinling Mountains. The park covers an area of 2949 hectares and the forest coverage rate is 94.3%. With forest landscape as the main body, Cangshan peak as the skeleton, Qingxi and Bitan as the vein, the park is dotted with cultural relics and historic sites. Location context

Taibai Mountain National Forest Park, located in Meixian County, Shaanxi Province, at the northern foot of Taibai Mountain, the main peak of Qinling Mountains, was established in 1991 with the approval of the Ministry of forestry of China. The park covers an area of 2949 hectares, with a forest coverage rate of 94.3%. Taibai Mountain National Forest Park includes 10 scenic spots and more than 180 scenic spots. The elevation of the park ranges from 620 meters to 3511 meters, which is the highest National Forest Park in China.

Taibai National Forest Park is 90 kilometers away from Baoji in the West and 110 kilometers away from Xi'an in the East. There is a second-class tourist line directly to the park along Xibao expressway.

Geological glacier

The main body of Taibai Mountain is composed of large-scale granite, which geologists call "Taibai granite". In the long history of geological development, Taibai granite has experienced several structural changes, faults, and developed joints. Under the combined action of various external forces, they have created a dangerous and strange scenery of Taibai Mountain with many strange peaks and towering mountains. The high mountain area of Taibai mountain still retains complete and varied Quaternary glacial relics.

Alpine lake, ancient people and local old people all call it "Shenhu", but in fact it is "shuoehu". These glacial lakes have been known as "Taibai lake light" and "mountain pearl" since ancient times, and are listed as one of the eight scenic spots of Taibai Mountain. Looking around from paxiantai, the unique landforms of Quaternary glaciers, such as Jiaofeng, trough valley, iceberg, ice ridge and ice terrace, are one of the best natural museums for studying Quaternary glaciers.

Taibai National Forest Park connects eight scenic spots and more than 140 scenic spots with 40 km tourist highway and 28 km pedestrian footpath

Longshan, Fengshan, Fengquan three scenic spots. You can enjoy the eight sceneries of Meixian County, Fengquan Shenze and Yudong Xianyin; you can visit the ruins of Tangzi City, Fengshan peak, Fengquan palace and Shengong stone; you can visit the Taoist temple qingniu cave, Taibai Yaowang temple, Longfeng Mountain Temple and Guanyin cave. Tourist hotels, commercial stalls and recreational facilities are concentrated in the area.

Dongtianfudi scenic spot: it is said that Guiguzi is a place for stealth, cultivation and apprenticeship. You can see Xuande dongtianmenlou, Dushan, dianjiangtai, etc.

99 Gorge Scenic Spots: dense scenic spots, beautiful scenery, the essence of the park landscape. There are many scenic spots, such as the beautiful girl Yuli, jianqifeng, shengxianshi, Xianji bathing, Yaowang plank road and so on.

Xianqiao Valley Scenic Spot: located in the east of Jiujiu gorge, there are giant stone Xianqiao, Dajia (ancient wooden plank road), three-level thousand foot waterfall and other scenic spots.

Kaitianguan scenic area: it is a cold temperate tourist area with large primeval forest as the main body. You can enjoy Songli and Honghua forest belts, including Xiaofo waterfall, Shenxian cave, Chongyang palace, lotus Valley, Mudan Valley and other scenic spots. Guanyunhai scenic spot: 2300-3511 meters above sea level, across the sub frigid zone and frigid zone, you can enjoy three plant landscape belts of Abies, Larix and alpine shrub meadow in Taibai Mountain. There are 1850 species of seed plants and bryophytes, 1690 species of forest animals and insects, 26 species of national protected tree species and endangered plants, and 9 species of rare protected animals.

Taibai Mountain National Forest Park is a natural gene bank with a wide variety of species and ancient origins. It is known as "Asia natural botanical garden" and "China natural zoo". Under the comprehensive action of complex and changeable geographical factors and specific cosmic factors, Taibai Mountain endemic species and new species are formed, such as Taibai Redwood, Meiliu, Taibai ginseng, Taibai Aconitum, Taibai Fritillaria, Taibai honeysuckle, etc. There are 1850 species of seed plants in the garden.

Due to the antiquity of forest vegetation in Taibai Mountain, there are many rare and relict species, which belong to the second class national protection plants, including Taibai Redwood, aquamarine, Lianxiang, Shanbai, Eucommia ulmoides, monocotyledon, Xingye grass, big fruit green Cotinus coggygria, narrow leaf pinger grass, etc. There are 11 Tree Species under the third level protection, such as Acer Miaotai, Acer palmatum, Euonymus chinensis, Paeonia suffruticosa, Trillium Trillium, etc.

The abundant forest resources and complex natural environment of Taibai Mountain National Forest Park provide a good place for wild animals to breed and live. It is a natural paradise for rare birds and animals. There are more than 1690 species of forest animals and insects in the park. Among them, there are 3 species of animals under national first class protection, including golden monkey, giant panda and takin, and 7 species of animals under second class protection, including clouded leopard, leopard, red bellied Tragopan, Sumen antelope and giant salamander.

Second, the mountainous landform is peculiar and precipitous. In the low mountain area, the valley is narrow, deep and secluded, and the clouds and shadows of the mountains open and close appropriately; in the middle mountain area, the mountains are steep, ridge toothed, and the peaks face each other, and the landform of Quaternary glacial relics in the high mountain area is special.

Scenic spot construction

Up to 2000, the Tourism Development Zone Based on the forest park has built 20 hotels and guest houses, 4000 beds and more than 4500 dining seats. Cultural and entertainment facilities have been continuously improved, and a complete tourism reception system has been basically formed. Taibai Mountain Tourist ropeway, which was invested and constructed in 1998, has a total length of 1100 meters, an altitude of 2800-3200 meters, and a transportation capacity of 300 person times / hour. Taking the ropeway, you can not only take a walk, but also enjoy the vast and spectacular Rhododendron, Taibai sea of clouds, glacial relics and other wonders.

Self driving line

Take Xibao Expressway from Baoji or Xi'an, and at the south exit of Lanjia (with the sign of Taibai Mountain National Forest Park) 98 km away, yanjiangtang class II bus lane goes directly to Shankou.

Bus routes:

Baoji departure: take the bus from Baoji west station to Meixian County (about one hour's drive, about 23 yuan), and take bus No.203 from Meixian County to Taibai Mountain Tourist Center.

Starting from Xi'an: take no.u2 tourist bus or Taibai Mountain Tourist Line (about 80 minutes, about 30 yuan) at the East Square of the railway station to Taibai Mountain; or take a long-distance bus from Chengxi passenger station to Meixian County.
