Tomb of Nie Er

The cemetery of Nie Er, the composer of "March of the volunteers" - the National Anthem of the people's Republic of China, is located on the hillside between Taihua temple and Sanqing Pavilion in Kunming, Yunnan Province.

Nie Er (1912-1935), born in Yuxi, Yunnan Province, is a famous Chinese composer and the author of the march of the volunteers. He was born in the cold, joined the party in 1933, drowned in Japan in 1935, and was buried in Xishan, Kunming in 1938. In 1954, Nie Er's tomb was rebuilt, and Guo Moruo's handwriting "the tomb of Nie Er, the people's musician" was engraved on the tombstone. In May 1980, Kunming moved Nie Er's tomb between Taihua temple and Longmen in Xishan. The new tomb looks like a plucked musical instrument. The original epitaph was written by Guo Moruo. In addition, there is a monument on the shore of hunuma, fujizawa City, Japan, where Nie Er was killed.

In 1988, it was listed as a national key cultural relics protection unit and a national youth patriotism education base.

Nie Er's tomb is located between Taihua temple and Sanqing Pavilion in Xishan, Kunming, Yunnan Province. There is a gentle slope with dense pines and cypresses. Among the green trees, Nie Er, the people's musician, sleeps for a long time. His graveyard is in the shape of a Qin, the main body of which is a Qin plate, the neck of the tomb, and seven flower stands on the road, which are in the shape of Qin products, symbolizing seven scales; the 24 stone steps on the road indicate that he has only lived for 24 years.

On the top of the disc, on seven crystal stones, there are two lines with the inscription "Tomb of people's musician Nie Er". The design of the cemetery is novel and ingenious, which is full of characteristics and dignified.

Rewrite the inscription

Nie Er was originally buried on the top of the west side of the road from high to Huating temple. The tomb is made of blue stone. It is simple and simple, with an inscription written by Xu Jiarui. In 1954, when the people's government was training, Guo Moruo rewritten the inscription. In 1980, according to the requirements of the broad masses of the people, a new tomb was rebuilt and moved here on May 13 of the same year.

In order to commemorate Nie Er and express the friendship between the Chinese and Japanese people, the Japanese people built the Nie Er Monument near the death of Nie Er on the coast of Houma, fujizawa city on November 1, 1954. In 1963, the granite monument with the shape of "Er" was rebuilt. Guo Moruo wrote six characters with the title of "the place where Nie Er ended up". Japanese dramatist YuQue Akita wrote an inscription introducing Nie Er's life.

Life of Nie Er

Nie Er, whose original name is Shou Xin, has a Ziyi character, which is a kind of purple art. Born in 1912 in Kunming, Yunnan Province, he is a cold doctor. Since childhood, I love music and can play many kinds of musical instruments. In middle school, he joined the Communist Youth League of China and took part in revolutionary activities. In 1930, he went to Shanghai and worked as a shop assistant in a firm. The next year, he was admitted to the "Mingyue song and dance club" as a violinist.

He was introduced by Tian Han to join the Communist Party of China in 1933. After that, he took an active part in left-wing music, drama and film work, and published art reviews under the pseudonym of "black angel", denouncing the decadent sound and proposing the idea of "shouting for the public". In 1935, he went to the Soviet Union via Japan. Unfortunately, he drowned and died on July 17 when he was swimming at the shore of hunuma, fujizawa City, Kanagawa Prefecture, Japan.

Nie Er composed more than 31 songs, such as March of the volunteers, march forward, graduation, pioneer of the road, song of the dockers, and new women, which focused on the suffering and resistance of the workers and peasants under the oppression of the old Chinese class, as well as the strong will of the Chinese people to resist Japan and save the nation after the September 18th Incident The drum of people's liberation.

Among them, "March of the volunteers" was adopted as the National Anthem of the people's Republic of China by the resolution of the first plenary session of the Chinese people's Political Consultative Conference on September 27, 1949. On December 4, 1982, the fifth session of the Fifth National People's Congress officially adopted the National Anthem of the people's Republic of China.
