Shoushan (Wanshou mountain) is located in Kaohsiung, Taiwan, also known as Dagou mountain, Qilin mountain or burin mountain. It is located in Gushan District, southwest of Kaohsiung City. It belongs to high-level coral limestone geology, with an altitude of more than 300 meters. It is the highest coral reef mountain in Taiwan, stretching about 10 kilometers from taoziyuan to shaochuantou. The mountain is densely forested, with precious prehistoric relict plants, limestone geological landscape, historic sites and ecological resources of animals and plants. It is an original green forest like the heart and lung of Kaohsiung City. It has become the best place for people in Kaohsiung to go for mountain climbing and hiking. It is as important as Yangming Mountain in Taipei city.

Chaishan originally refers to the coastal hillside area in the north of Shoushan. Because there are many firewood species such as jiuxiong wood growing on the mountain, it is the main source of firewood for local daily life, so it is called "Chaishan"; Chaishan natural park generally refers to the special geology, topography and natural ecological landscape of beishoushan.

The scenic spots in Shoushan scenic spot include wanshoushan Park, zoo, Zhonglie temple, Yuanheng temple, Longquan Temple, etc. The old military control area in North Shoushan has been opened to the public for sightseeing in recent years. It contains the limestone landscape and the Taiwan macaque ecology and other natural treasures. It has become the favorite of Kaohsiung people. The reputation of Chai Shan nature park spread like wildfire, which is called the essence of Shoushan scenic spot.

Shoushan scenic spot is rich in natural resources, which can be said to be an excellent natural landscape recreation area. The limestone landscape and the wild macaques are precious tourism assets.
