Panchi
Panchi is located at the south end of the central axis of Confucius Temple in Qinhuai District of Nanjing city. It is the only panchi in the world with natural river as the pool water. It is located in the core area of Qinhuai scenic belt of Confucius Temple and is the largest existing panchi in Nanjing. Panchi was built when kangxuefu was built in Song Dynasty, and then destroyed in the war. In the first year of Jingyou in the Northern Song Dynasty (1034), a temple was built there, which was called Wenxuan temple and later Confucius Temple. It was rebuilt in 1139.
