Siheyuan, 25 Art Gallery East Street

No. 25, East Street of Art Museum, the courtyard is located in East Street of Art Museum, Dongcheng District. Three into the courtyard pattern. In 2004, it was announced as the protection area and construction control area. The protection area starts from the south wall of the courtyard gate in the south, reaches the original north wall in the north, starts from the original East wall in the East, and reaches the original West wall in the West.

In the first entrance, there is one gate, five inverted rooms, one upper Horse Stone in the East and one in the West in front of the hall, and nine corridors in the front and back of the hall. There is a pair of stone lions on both sides of the door. There are three main rooms in the second entrance courtyard, three ear rooms on the left and three on the right. There is a hard wood carved flower floor cover in the main room. The moon gate is in the middle, and plum and bamboo are carved around. There are three rooms in the East and three in the West. Along the west corridor to the north, the moon gate is the third courtyard, with five main rooms and one ear room on each side. The courtyard was originally the residence of Empress Dowager Cixi's niece with a garden. It was bought by a German businessman in the early period of the Republic of China. After the victory of the Anti Japanese War, it was bought by Wu Xin and then confiscated. When the museum was built in 1958, it occupied the garden part in the west of the house, leaving only the eastern part of the house. Du Yuming lived here from 1959 to 1981. It was used by the Ministry of health after 1990s.
