Induction Temple

Induction temple is located in Xiantang village, Qiaodun Town, Cangnan County, Zhejiang Province. It was built in the Tang Dynasty and rebuilt in the Ming Dynasty. It was formerly known as Sizhou nunnery. During the reign of Emperor Qianlong of the Qing Dynasty, both Pufan and Daoguang were rebuilt in 1845. There are two stone drums made in Ming Dynasty, one stone Buddha in Sizhou and one blue stone water tank in Ming Dynasty. The lip of the water tank is engraved with the words "Youwu monk, Mingyuan Meiyuan zaoyong, abbot of Sizhou nunnery, nandluyue in the year of Chongzhen Jiaxu of Ming Dynasty".

Historical development

In 1958, the ancient temple of Qiaodun reservoir was destroyed.

In 1989, bhiksuni Shi'an was appointed as the abbot, and moved to the foot of mu'an mountain for reconstruction. Facing Yucang mountain and the pier reservoir, he rebuilt the main hall, the left and right wing rooms, the hall of Dharma patriarch and the hall of dizang.

In 1995, bhiksuni and Shi Wanqing built the stone road of more than 300 meters from Xiantang village to the temple on the mountain. Due to the lack of funds, the building is simple and crude, coupled with years of disrepair, the hall is damaged.

In 2005, abbot Shi Wanqing organized the construction of roads, water and electricity, and built five main halls and seven three storey rooms on the left and right.

In early 2012, a mausoleum style Putong tower was built at the left head of the temple. There is a pair of Unicorns outside the archway. On both sides of the "induction Temple" on the plaque, there is a couplet written by master Wan Qingshi: "Ganlong Huahui Tathagata is spotless and unimpeded. It should be blessed to be at ease, and the five connotations are empty to prove Bodhi." many famous and profitable people in the world hear the bell song, but the sky is empty. There is a dream in the sea of bitterness, and they listen to the sound of fish. On the inside of the plaque, the three characters "Sizhou Temple" were written by Xu Shirong of Longgang. On the left and right, there was a couplet written by Wan Qingshi: "the sound of birds in baoshulin mountain is wonderful, and the color of the ceiling on the jade sand land is Tathagata.". On both sides of the main hall leading from the head gate and in front of the courtyard of the main hall, there are white marble railings, about 85 meters long. The junction of the main hall and the courtyard of the main hall is decorated with nine dragon walls more than 10 meters long. The whole temple covers an area of more than 3100 square meters, and the architectural group is simple and elegant.

In the middle of 2013, Tianwang hall was built with Maitreya Bodhisattva and Weituo Bodhisattva, and four stone heavenly kings were placed in the southeast, northwest and four sides. The courtyard on the third floor is completely covered with marble, and two parking lots are built outside the temple.
