The nongchan temple in Fagu mountain was first built in 1975 by the founder monk of the Chinese Buddhist Culture Museum and expanded by master Shengyan. When the cultural center was rebuilt in 1985, it moved its various activities to the nongchan temple in the lower house. Originally, there was only one two-story farmhouse with a building area of 50 Ping, which was once lent to the Buddhist Association of America's Translation Institute in Taiwan, and then the three studies institute was established. Gradually, as the number of monks increased, nearly one thousand square meters of houses were expanded to provide places for various spiritual activities. Nearly 100 people have become monks in the temple and engaged in activities such as Dharma promotion and Dharma protection.
