Chaganimawaixiang Temple
Chaganimawaixiang temple, also known as zhuogenima Waixiang temple. It is the earliest Tibetan Buddhist temple in Maqu. It is located 3km to the north of Maqu County. It is one of 108 temples in Labrang, Xiahe. It is also one of the Yellow temples of Gelug Sect in Tibetan Buddhism.
history
The temple was founded in 1780 by the second Jiamuyang master of Labrang temple. The master here conferred the title of Shengle King Kong and founded the school of Tantric school. After that, Jiamuyang III founded the school of philosophy and appointed jiakanqin to preside over the temple.
In 1909 ad, the fourth Jiamuyang established the practice of Shilun. In 1936, the fifth Jiamuyang master established an intensive practice of Vajra, so the practice of Xianmi in the temple gradually formed. The temple has gone through 221 years since it was founded.
Important cultural relics
The important cultural relics of the temple include the natural six character Mantra (about 0.5 km to the west of the temple) Manjusri Mantra. There are also the small hall of Buddha statues of jiakanqin, footprints, mud Buddha statues of longduo Lama, and Maitreya Buddha statues of Dajing hall.
On the fourth floor, there are more than 1000 Buddhist Sutras of Thousand Buddhas, ganzhur, danzhur and other eminent monks.
The temple has one Sutra hall and 62 monasteries. There are many statues of Buddha worshipped, with different sizes, exquisite workmanship and vivid images. In addition, there are many murals, scroll paintings and embroidery, which are exquisite in conception, delicate in depiction, fluent in lines and gorgeous in color.
The second generation of Jiamu statues made of gold and copper, as well as the statues of Sakyamuni, Maitreya, wuliangshou and tiannv carved in sandalwood, are vivid and finely depicted.
In the temple, there is a collection of "Ganzhuer" Tripitaka written in gold, and five "Ganzhuer" and "danzhuer" Tripitaka written in ink. The complete works of Mani and other Buddhist scriptures are more than 1000 volumes. The second, third and fourth Jiamuyang masters' belts, vestments, hats and other sacred objects. There are also precious cultural relics such as matsuzan dry cloth boots.
Every year, the temple regularly holds grand Dharma meetings and warm celebrations. In the grand festivals, monks' music and Dharma dance performances are performed. During the festival, all monks in the temple chant scriptures, dispel disasters and Exorcism, and pray for good luck.
