Jinniutan

Jinniutan resort is located in gongmushan scenic area, Ningming County, Guangxi Province. Gongmu mountain is the highest peak on the border between China and Vietnam, with an altitude of 1350 meters, belonging to the tail of 100000 mountains. It is located in the southwest of Ningming County, 57 kilometers away from the county seat, bordering Luping County, Liangshan Province, Vietnam. The origin of jinniutan's name

Bishui jinniutan is named after a poem by Li Pinxian, a general of the Republic of China

Sitting alone in the mountains listening to the sound of water,

He is full of righteous indignation and hopes to travel along the border;

There is no golden bull in Bitan,

Don't use Wuding if you open the way.

This poem is carved on a stone cliff beside jinniutan in Aidian, Ningming County, which is one of the few stone cliff sculptures in Ningming County.

Li Pinxian (1892-1987) was the former chairman of Anhui Province of KMT. Cangwu people. In his early years, he entered Guangxi Army primary school, Hubei army middle school and Baoding army officer school.

In 1926, he led his troops to participate in the Northern Expedition and served as the commander of the third division of the Eighth Army of the National Revolutionary Army, commander of the Wuhan garrison, commander in chief of the 12th Route Army, President of Nanning military school, and chief of staff of the headquarters of the fourth group army.

After the outbreak of the Anti Japanese War, he served as deputy commander of the fifth theater and commander in chief of the eleventh group army of the National Revolutionary Army, and took part in the campaigns of Songhu, Xuzhou and Taierzhuang. Later, he served as commander in chief of the fourth corps, commander in chief of the 21st group army, commander in chief of Henan Anhui border region and chairman of Anhui Province. In the winter of 1944, he served as commander of the 10th theater of war and led the army to fight against Japan. After the victory of the Anti Japanese War, he presided over the surrender ceremony in Xuzhou and dealt with the surrender of the Japanese army.

He died in March 1987 in Taipei.
