Wenchuan County gymnasium was constructed by Guangdong Yaonan Construction Engineering Co., Ltd. the project started on July 8, 2009. It covers an area of 4700 square meters for gymnasium, 7508 square meters for hotel and theater, and 20611 square meters for disaster prevention square, including 1990 square meters for indoor national fitness center, with a total investment of 40 million yuan. The main body of the gymnasium is made of reinforced concrete structure, and the roof is made of economical and convenient grid structure. The seismic fortification intensity of the gymnasium reaches grade 8.
