Jingyang building

Jingyang building is located in the northeast corner of Kunlun main hall on the top of Jiming temple in Xuanwu District of Nanjing city. It was built in the period of Yuanjia of Song Dynasty in Southern Dynasty. It is a scenic spot of Hualin garden, a famous Royal Palace in Southern Dynasty. Now it is a part of Jiming temple.

Historical evolution

During the Three Kingdoms period, Hualin garden was built.

During the Yuan Jia period of the Southern Song Dynasty, Hualin garden was expanded to build Huaguang hall, Jingyang building, Zhulin hall and other places of interest.

During the reign of Tongzhi in the Qing Dynasty, Jiming temple was rebuilt.

During the reign of Emperor Guangxu of Qing Dynasty, huomeng building was built.

In the early years of the Republic of China, Jingyang building was built.

After the reform and opening up, it has become the most famous vegetable restaurant in Nanjing.

There is an interesting couplet at the entrance of Jingyang building: "at the foot of Jilong mountain, the imperial Taicheng, the former site of Jingyang building is set up; beside Xuanwu Lake, the ancient well of rouge is still the same as the old temple of Tai." This couplet also contains stories about Jilong mountain, Taicheng, Jingyang tower, Xuanwu Lake, Tongtai temple and yanzhijing.

Poetry culture

After touring here, Zhang Jiuling wrote "the southern kingdom has changed for several generations, and the Northern Lake has ten continents" in his book "seeing the old relics to Xuanwu Lake through Jiangning". Tianqinghua Linyuan, Riyan Jingyang building. "
