Shaanxi scenic area covers a total area of 15 square kilometers, including 2070 mu of land and 18000 mu of water. Located on the Bank of the Yellow River in Sanmenxia City, the scenic spot is also known as Shanzhou old city scenic spot and Shanzhou ancient city scenic spot. It is the largest urban garden in Henan Province built in the ruins of ancient Shanzhou city. Shanzhou city is an ancient city. In ancient times, it was said that it was surrounded by mountains on four sides, water on three sides, half of the city was covered with tobacco trees and half of the city was covered with farmland. Zhao Gong, the younger brother of King Wen of Zhou Dynasty, once granted this city and taught the people under the tree of Gantang. The people felt his virtue and built a memorial temple to commemorate it. Therefore, Shanzhou is also called the old rule of Gantang.

Development history

The ancient city of Shanzhou was built in the reign of emperor Jingdi of the Western Han Dynasty. It has a history of more than 2000 years. At that time, it was large in scale and the situation was dangerous. The famous historical allusions such as the battle of Xia and Shang Dynasties, the division of Shaanxi by Zhou Zhao, the destruction of appearance by fake Yu, and the battle of Qin and Jin Dynasties are all witnessed here. After that, the city was destroyed many times and rebuilt many times. Tang Taizong Li Shimin, Han Yu, Du Fu, Liu Gongquan, Bai Juyi, Li Shangyin, Liu Yuxi, Du Mu, Song Dynasty politicians Sima Guang, Wang Anshi, Jin, Ming and Qing Dynasty scholars all visited here. The former residence of shangguanyi and Zhaorong shangguanwan'er is in shangguanxiang, the north corner of the city. The thatched cottage of Wei Ye, a poet of the Northern Song Dynasty, is in Sanliqiao village, the east of the city. In the west of the city is Taiyangdu, and in the north is wanjintan. There are Yangjiaoshan, Zhonggulou, Baolun temple, Confucian temple, Guanmiao, Yumiao, zhaogonggou, toad spring, stone archway and other ancient buildings in the city. After the Sanmenxia Dam intercepted the flood in 1960, Shanzhou city was located in the inundated area designed by the original high dam and deep reservoir, and all the residents moved, making it an open space. Baolunsi pagoda, stone archway and other historic sites have been protected and restored.

There are 83 kinds of trees, 830000 trees, 60000 square meters of lawns, and 92.5% of them are green. There are 25 main guide roads, 15985 meters in length, and 16 main tourist attractions. The 800 year old Baolun Temple Pagoda is one of the four echo buildings in China, and the elegant and simple Sanmenxia museum is well-known.

Main attractions

Baolunsi pagoda

Located in Shanzhou scenic area, it used to be the pagoda of Baolun temple in Shanzhou city. It was first built by monk Daoxiu of Tang Dynasty. It was rebuilt by monk Zhixiu in 1177 A.D., more than 800 years ago. The temple has been destroyed long ago, only the pagoda can survive alone. The gate of the tower faces south, and the plane is square. It is a 13 level brick tower with dense eaves. The height of the tower is 26.5 meters, and the circumference of the tower is 21.6 meters. There is a base and pedestal at the bottom of the tower. The front of the pagoda is engraved with the inscription of "Sansheng relic pagoda". The body of the pagoda converges layer by layer from bottom to top, and the height of each layer decreases evenly. The outer contour is parabolic. The eaves of the pagoda are built with water chestnut teeth brick and stacked astringent brick layers, which is beautiful. There are semicircular arches, niches and window openings on each layer of the tower. Under the wing corner, there are Fengduo (iron bells), which are ringing when the wind blows. There are tower chambers and terraces in the tower. You can view the magnificent scenery of "the Yellow River is far above the white clouds".

Visitors standing around the tower for several feet, percussion stone, high fives, you will hear "quack quack" sound similar to toad. The louder and faster the percussion or clapping, the more vivid and loud the sound of the toad's cry, so the local people commonly call it "toad tower". In fact, the sound of frogs in the tower comes from the principle of echo. The pagoda, together with the echo wall of the temple of heaven in Beijing, Yingying pagoda of Pujiu temple in Shanxi, and Shiqin of Dafo temple in Tongnan County, Sichuan, are listed as the four echo buildings in ancient China. Now it is a key cultural relic protection unit in Henan Province.

Sanmenxia Museum

Located in the north of baolunsi pagoda, it is a comprehensive museum built in November 1989. The building area is 3200 square meters, the total architectural style is: there is a garden in the museum, there is a museum in the garden, simple and solemn, beautiful and elegant. The main collection of Sanmenxia area unearthed historical relics and specimens of natural resources. At the same time, different types of exhibition activities were held to reflect the construction achievements of Sanmenxia City, the simple and honest folk customs in western Henan, and the historical overview from Dayu's water control to modern management, development and utilization of the Yellow River.

Taiyangdu

One of the ancient ferry connecting Jin and Yu. On the other side is Xiayang in Pinglu County, Shanxi Province. It is said that Han Xin, a famous general of the Han Dynasty, once crossed the army here with Papaver, attacked Anyi and captured five leopards of the Wei Dynasty. In 637 ad, Emperor Taizong of the Tang Dynasty ordered general Qiu Xinggong to build a 76 Zhang long floating bridge here, called Taiyang bridge, to connect the traffic on both sides of the Yellow River. Now Taiyangdu has become an important wharf for "Yellow River Tour", where visitors can board boats to visit the Yellow River. In history, it was called maojindu. The river is calm and the scenery is beautiful. Wei Ye, a poet of the Song Dynasty, praised the poem maojindu, saying that "when the crow crows at a few points, the tree is far away, and people want to walk in the sunset. The dusk still lives in Zhuwu village, and the west wind suddenly blows to maojindu. Three people are waiting for each other, and Wei Sai is looking for the waterfront. Suddenly I see a wisp of smoke in the stove. I should only cook rice and frost scales. " There are also gantangyuan, Zhonggulou, journey to the West wax art palace, chuangulou site, Yangjiaoshan site, shibeifang site, etc.

Tips

The pagoda of Baolun Temple costs 4 yuan, the boat ride of Taiyangdu costs 1 yuan, and others are free. Because the scenic area is large, it is recommended to rent a four-wheel bicycle when you go in, and you can take up to 4 people. Charge: 10 yuan per hour, 100 yuan deposit.
