Lanxi Museum

Lanxi Museum covers an area of 9.32 mu, with a construction area of 5000 square meters, and now has more than 9000 cultural relics. The museum is located at the foot of the beautiful Hengshan Mountain, facing the broad Lanjiang River and adjacent to the famous "Mustard garden". Lanxi museum is a good place to learn about the history of Lanxi, accept the influence of ancient culture, increase knowledge and leisure tourism.

The exhibition of Lanxi Museum takes the historical and cultural development of Lanxi as the theme, and introduces the geological evolution, social changes and folk customs of Lanxi. The exhibition consists of five units: "ancient footnotes", "literary style", "the confluence of three rivers", "folk wonderful flowers" and "harmonious Lancheng".

Lanxi Museum

The predecessor of Lanxi City Museum is the cultural relics group of Lanxi County Cultural Center. In October 1976, Lanxi County Cultural Relics Management Committee was established. In 1985, the county was removed and the city was established. In February 1986, the membership of the cultural relics management committee was adjusted. The Committee has an office located in the municipal cultural center. In March 2011, the new Lanxi museum was officially opened to the public.

In September 2018, after the museum self-evaluation application, the provincial museum industry organization evaluation, the National Museum Evaluation Committee organized experts to review, and reported to the State Administration of cultural relics for the record, China Museum Association decided to approve Lanxi Museum as the third batch of national third-class museums.

Development history

In December 1987, the report no. 102 of Lanxi coin government office officially approved that the museum should be set up separately, with personnel arrangement and financial accounting. It is a fully funded institution under the Municipal Bureau of culture. The office and warehouse are located at 4 Renmin South Road. At the end of 1991, he moved to No.26 xidanxi Avenue in Lanxi, borrowing the new public house of the Municipal Cultural Center, with an office and warehouse area of nearly 300 square meters. The new Lanxi City Museum is located on the Bank of Lanjiang River, which is called "three rivers meet in Yunheng, and the river system in Zhongzhou". It was built in 2011, covering an area of 9.32 mu. The architectural style is a modern antique building integrating local traditional cultural elements and Huizhou architectural features. The functional rooms are divided into five parts: exhibition hall, cultural relics warehouse, office room, security center and temporary exhibition hall. With independent legal personality, it is a local comprehensive museum with the theme of Lanxi historical and cultural exhibition, and a demonstration base of popular science education in Jinhua City.

Now there are 8 staff in the library, including 1 associate researcher, 2 librarians, 2 assistant librarians and 1 administrator.

Collection

There are more than 9000 cultural relics in the collection, including 2 first-class, 12 second-class and 160 third-class. The bronze crossbow machine of the Eastern Han Dynasty, the celadon barn of the Western Jin Dynasty, the celadon four series pot of the Tang Dynasty and the gold cup of the Song Dynasty are all precious.
