Lake Bhutto

Butuo lake is the general name of two alpine lakes with different areas, Butuo cuoqing and Butuo cuoqiong. It is located 25km north of Dingqing county. It is two parallel alpine lakes in the upper reaches of sequ River, a tributary of Lancang River, with an altitude of 4660m and 4590m respectively. The distance between the two lakes is about 6km. The northern snow peak of butuocuoqing is Tanggula Mountain, where modern glaciers are developed, and the melting water of glaciers is the main source of lake water supply.

The water of the two lakes in Butuo comes from the glaciers with snow peaks nearby. The terrain around the lake is a high valley basin with open terrain and abundant pasture. It is the most rare summer pasture in Dingqing area. The two lakes are also rich in fishery resources. Every summer, the broad grassland is rich in water and grass, and the wild flowers are gorgeous. Herdsmen's tents are scattered on the grassland, dotted with fat yaks and snow-white sheep like stars. The plateau pasture is full of scenery.

Butuocuoqing lake covers an area of about 9 square kilometers. Butuocuoqionghu lake is located in the east of the lake, covering an area of about 6 square kilometers.

Every summer, in this broad grassland, the water and grass are rich and beautiful, and the wild flowers are gorgeous. Herdsmen's tents are scattered on the grassland, dotted with fat yaks and snow-white sheep like stars. The plateau pasture is full of scenery.
