Dangeer ancient city is located in Qinghai Province, on the North Bank of the Yellow River, the coast of the West Sea, the source of Huangshui River, 40 kilometers away from Xining city. The ancient city gets its name from the famous Tibetan Buddhist temple dongke'er. In 1648, dongke'er Temple moved from Tibet to the east of the ancient city, becoming a famous temple in Qinghai and Tibet.

Historical evolution

In ancient times, it belonged to Qiang, Linqiang county and Jincheng County in the Han Dynasty, Xiping County in the Three Kingdoms, Xidu County in the Northern Wei Dynasty, Huangshui County in the Sui Dynasty and Shanzhou (Xiping County). It belonged to Shancheng County in the Tang Dynasty. After the rebellion of an and Shi in the Tang Dynasty, it was under the jurisdiction of Tubo. After the third year of Chongning (1104) of Huizong in the Song Dynasty, it belonged to Xining Prefecture, Xining County in the Ming Dynasty, and danger hall in the Qing Dynasty. In 1913, dangaerting was changed to Huangyuan county.

In 1924, the commercial trade reached its peak. There were more than 1000 large and small merchants and handicrafts in the city, with more than 5000 employees. The total amount of silver trade reached more than 5 million taels. The merchants gathered and the trade flourished. The ancient city of tangar also had the reputation of "the commercial capital around the sea" and "little Beijing". When dusk comes, the light box advertising signboards with strong national characteristics made on the doors of various shops and foreign firms in the city are brilliant and brilliant, attracting thousands of viewers. Today's "paideng" is the evolution of this kind of advertising signboard. It can be said that Huangyuan paideng is the earliest advertising light box in China.

According to records, in the same year after the construction of the ancient city, a tangar camp was set up, with a total of three members stationed in qianba and qianba. There were one general department, one qianba general department, two Ba general departments, and 20 military training halls, ammunition depots, gunpowder bureaus, pastures and warehouses. In the third year of Daoguang (1823), due to military needs, the tangar camp was upgraded to Zhenhai xieying, where a deputy general was stationed to be responsible for military affairs around Qinghai Lake and other places, and to ensure the normal commercial trade of tangar. Since the founding of the city, the dangar camp, the Zhenhai camp, the general's office, and the general's office have been set up. There are 14 Deputy generals, 17 Deputy generals, 7 participating generals, 29 Dusi, 4 general's office, and 31 general's office successively. This shows that its military geographical position is important and it is a "military city" worthy of its name.
