World Plum Garden

Shiwai plum garden, also known as plum garden, is located in Kumquat nature reserve, Shatian Town, Huiyang District, Huizhou City. It is the first original ecological scenic resort in Guangdong Province, covering an area of more than 13000 mu. The ecological structure of Meiyuan is in good condition. There is no industry and development within 10 km of the surrounding area. The original plants and landscapes are well preserved. The mountains, water, vegetation and animals maintain a harmonious ecological balance. The annual average temperature of the scenic spot is 22 ℃, and the night temperature is below 20 ℃. Even in hot summer, the climate here is pleasant.

World Plum Garden

Shiwai Meiyuan, full name of Huizhou Shiwai Meiyuan ecotourism resort, is developed by Huizhou Meiyuan Ecotourism Development Co., Ltd., belonging to kumquat nature reserve. It is located in Jinju village, Shatian Town, Huiyang District, adjacent to Daya Bay in the South and pinglong highway in the north. It is only an hour's drive from Huizhou City.

Function area

The garden is divided into eight functional areas, most of which are operated by rural activities.

There are a lot of organic vegetables in Meiyuan for tourists to buy, which makes Meiyuan a rare original ecological nature reserve in Guangdong and the first original ecological landscape tourism area in Guangdong. It is known as "little Jiuzhaigou in southern Guangdong".

Plant varieties

There are 731 species of vascular plants in 463 genera of 154 families, 44 species of Pteridophytes in 35 genera of 24 families, 4 species of gymnosperms in 3 families, 683 species of angiosperms in 424 genera of 125 families and 404 species of medicinal plants

The flora has obvious tropical characteristics, and the vegetation basically belongs to the subtropical evergreen broad-leaved forest. Meiyuan is located in the hilly and farming areas. The diversity of ecological environment makes it have different ecological environment and microclimate, such as arbor, shrub and bamboo forest, wasteland and wilderness, gullies and streams, paddy field constructed wetland, lowland hills and reservoirs. Therefore, it has raised thousands of plant types, and also inhabited 38 common birds in winter, which has become its biological species Especially the biodiversity of birds.

There are 29 kinds of resident birds and 9 kinds of migratory birds in shiwaimeiyuan, 7 kinds of winter migratory birds and 2 kinds of summer migratory birds. Among the 38 bird species, there are 33 protected species, 4 national protected animals and 29 national three protected animals. Some common birds have a large number and can be observed directly in close range.

Julong tea

Julong tea grows in the mountains of more than 700 meters above sea level, which are surrounded by clouds all year round in the world plum garden. It is made by traditional and unique technology and roasted for at least 4 hours. It is fragrant and mellow. It can produce body fluid, quench thirst, strengthen spleen and stomach. It is well-known in Guangdong, Hong Kong and Macao.
