Wuxi Hongshan Taibo scenic spot

Taibo's tomb is located in Hongshan, Meisun Town, Xishan City. It is the tomb of Taibo in the Zhou Dynasty. It is said that Taibo was the prince of Zhou. Because Taiwang wanted to establish his young son Jili, he entered Jiangnan with his younger brother Zhongyong and became the king of Wu. He died and was buried in Hongshan. Hongshan is also known as guhuangshan, so this tomb is also known as wuwangdun and Huangling. The tomb is located at the south foot of the mountain and built according to the mountain. Above is the tomb, flat round, about 3 meters in diameter, surrounded by green stone parapet, the top with cover, about 2 meters high. There is a pair of stone watchtowers in front, each carved with a stone lion. On the front side are three big characters with seal characters of "Taibo tomb". On the side are two pieces of Taibo tombstone. One is erected in the 14th year of Hongzhi in the Ming Dynasty (1501) and the other is carved in the 3rd year of Qiqi in the Ming Dynasty (1623). In front of the tomb, there is a crescent pool. Behind him, there is a stone archway and a hall of enjoyment built in 1818. From the bottom to the top, the tomb uses platforms and stone steps to connect individual buildings and stone carvings into a whole, surrounded by walls, covering an area of about 3 mu. The cemetery is full of trees and crops. The scenery is very beautiful. Every year people all around come here to hang on.
