Hongxi stone archway

Hongxi stone archway is located in the middle of Dongmen street, Hongxi Town, Mile County. Qingshi construction, east-west, covering an area of 64 square meters, was built in the 26th year of Guangxu reign of the Qing Dynasty (1900). Fangtong is 40 meters high and 6 meters wide. It has three eaves, four pillars and three pillars. There are eight stone lions standing opposite each other on the stone piers at the foot of the pillars. In the middle of the square, there is a hollow stone dragon plate with the inscription of "imperial edict" on it and the inscription of "three generations and one product seal code" on the bottom. On the East and west sides of the square platform foundation, there are seven steps of vertical belt treads, and there are three couplets on the straight columns on both sides. Wang Chi, one of the rich merchants in Yunnan Province at that time, donated a lot of money to the Qing government, so he was granted the imperial edict of the Qing government. Wang Chi also had some good deeds to the local people, including the "benevolent" rural commentary. With fine carving and high artistic value, Shifang was announced as a cultural relic protection unit of Honghe Hani and Yi Autonomous Prefecture in 1983.

The rainy season in Honghe Prefecture is mainly from May to October, and the frost period is from late November to January and February of the next year. Therefore, to travel in Honghe Hani and Yi Autonomous Prefecture, we should avoid the summer and autumn when it is hot and rainy, and the best time is from March to April and from September to November when the light is mild and the rainfall is less.
