Longwang palace scenic area is located in Longmen Village, Guichao Town, Funing County, Wenshan Prefecture, Yunnan Province. It is next to the new national highway 323 from Funing to Napo, Guangxi via Guichao valley. It is 49 km away from Funing station of high-speed railway and Funing exit of Guangzhou Kunming Expressway and Funa expressway.

Longwanggong scenic area is a typical karst landform. On the hillside, there are cliffs hanging. A cave is opened occasionally. The cave is naturally formed. It is warm in winter and cool in summer. The constant temperature is kept at about 20 ℃ for many years. The entrance of the cave is not big, and the inside of the cave is open, gradually deepening from the outside to the inside.

The origin of place names

Where did the Dragon King Palace come from? According to legend, in the last years of the Tang Dynasty, in the third year of the Great Han Dynasty, the Pingle river at the foot of the mountain was flooded with water and no crops were harvested. The local villagers knelt down to pray for the heaven, but the sky was still not half a drop of rain. A young man named Ah Fu searched all over the mountain for water. Finally, he found a piece of wet stone on the cliff of the overhanging edge of the mountain. Ah Fu lifted the stone, but unexpectedly, the stone gate opened wide and there was a stone The palace is presented in front of us. There are not only various furnishings, but also a clear spring. Ah Fu just turned out to the entrance of the cave and wanted to run down the mountain to report to the villagers. When he looked up, he found that the dry Pingle river was overflowing with water. So far, the Pingle river has never dried up. People on both sides of the river rushed to tell each other that the Dragon King had come to the cave halfway up the mountain. The Dragon King gave water to the local people and brought benefits to all people, so they named the cave Dragon King palace.
