Shangshangsi site

Shangshang temple is an ancient temple in the Liao and Jin Dynasties, once named Miaofeng. The site is located at the foot of Fenghuangling mountain, niegezhuang Township, Haidian District. It is located in the depression, covering an area of about 5000 square meters. The temple sits on the West and faces east. It is built according to the mountain situation. The original hall is 3-fold, and behind the hall is a granite pagoda. There are still two Ming Dynasty stone tablets in the site. The characters are illegible. There is a piece of Yuanjue Sutra in the Ming Dynasty and a temple stele in the Qing Dynasty. At the foot of the cliff behind the temple, there are two stone wells. The water is the same as the well, which is called Manjing. It is one of the local famous springs. There is a Ming Dynasty stone pagoda in the valley in front of the site. It is a burying monk's Spirit Pagoda. The pagoda faces east in the west, with its back against the high cliff and its front overlooking the deep stream. It is all made of granite.

Shangshangsi site is located at the foot of Fenghuangling mountain, Nie Gezhuang Township, Haidian District. It is about 5 km east of Toutou village.

The plane of the tower base is in sub shape. On the north side of the site, there is a brick pagoda of the Yuan Dynasty, commonly known as Linglong pagoda. It is a local Zen master's pagoda at the end of Jin Dynasty and the beginning of Yuan Dynasty. It was built in the middle of Yuan Dynasty (1260-1264). The pagoda faces east in the West. It is a brick Pagoda with five eaves and six corners. The height of the pagoda is about 9 meters. Each corner of the tower is decorated with a small brick Pagoda with five eaves and six corners.
