Nanli lake is located 30 kilometers south of Ding'an County. With the approval of the provincial government, Nanli lake is listed as a provincial scenic spot. The total area is 46 square kilometers. Among them, the lake area is 26 square kilometers; the water surface area is 12.3 square kilometers; the average water depth is 12 meters; the annual water temperature is 22-23 ℃, which is the largest artificial freshwater lake in northern Hainan; the annual average temperature is 22.5-23.7 ℃, and the climate is pleasant.

In 1958, the people of Ding'an built Nanfu reservoir here, so the lake was formed by low valley water. The original high mountains became small islands in the lake. There were 13 square, round and long islands. The largest island is 39600 square meters, and the smallest is 3300 square meters. The trees and bamboos on these islands are green. With clear water, rippling green waves, surrounded by rubber forests, green trees and bamboos, the lake is beautiful, clean and magnificent. The environment is quiet and elegant, and the climate is mild. It is suitable for bathing and fishing all the year round. There are square, round and long shaped islands in the lake. On the island, wild flowers are blooming, trees and bamboos are green, birds are singing and rabbits are jumping. People are infatuated with it.
