At present, it is the only professional exhibition hall at home and abroad to display interior painting art. With a construction area of 1732 square meters, it is a demonstration base of youth patriotism education in Hebei Province, a patriotism education base in Hengshui City, and an ideological and moral education base for minors in Hengshui City.

There are four schools in the field of interior painting, namely Beijing school, Ji school, Lu school and Yue school.

At the beginning, Wang Xisan, the founder of the inner painting of Ji school, once worshipped Ye Xiaofeng, the third son and ye Fengqi, the fourth son of the famous artist ye zhongsan. On the basis of inheriting the painting skills of Ye school, he gradually formed his own unique painting style and was known as the inner painting of Ji school by the industry.

Ji school is famous for its good painting of landscape, flowers and birds, animals, grass and insects, portraits and so on.

At the 2002 APEC meeting in Shanghai, the portraits of the heads of six countries created by Hengshui Xisan Painting Academy were presented to the leaders of all countries by President Jiang Zemin as a national gift. Hebei style interior painting has now developed into a well-known cultural industry with 40000 employees and an annual output value of about 800 million yuan. No matter from the aspects of artistic style, craft techniques, employees, colors and varieties, market sales and influence at home and abroad, it is in the leading position in China's four major interior painting schools (Beijing, Shandong, Hebei and Guangdong), and it is also quite popular in the international art world The art of fame. " The style of "inner painting of Ji school" can be summarized as follows: profound conception, rigorous composition, rich line drawing techniques, coordinated and refined color setting, excellent calligraphy and painting, and common tastes. From painting tools to painting techniques and painting forms, there are three innovations: metal rod hook brush, oil paint interior painting, series of cigarette bottles.

In recent years, in order to carry forward the uncanny art of interior painting, Wang Xisan, with the cooperation of his son Wang Yousan, founded "Xisan secondary vocational school of Arts and crafts" and "exhibition hall of the hometown of Chinese interior painting art", which played an active role in promoting the level and influence of interior painting art of Hebei school.

The exhibition hall is divided into four floors. It focuses on six categories of snuff bottles, including ancient Chinese materials, jade, organic matter, metal, ceramics, and interior painting. It fully displays snuff bottles, a pocket art collection of various Chinese crafts. Snuff bottles were first used in Manchu, Mongolian, Tibetan and other nomadic ethnic groups in China. At that time, there were only several kinds of snuff bottles made of copper, silver and porcelain.

After the Ming Dynasty, snuff bottles were introduced into the Central Plains with more and more varieties. During the reign of Emperor Qianlong of the Qing Dynasty, many kinds of snuff bottles appeared on the market, such as interior painting, jade, jadeite, gemstone, agate, enamel, etc. with the improvement of the craft level, they were not only practical, but also popular. He Yao, a corrupt official in history, is a snuff collector. It is said that after the east window incident, tens of thousands of snuff bottles were copied from his home. After emperor Jiaqing of the Qing Dynasty, the craft and painting of snuff bottles inside had reached a high level. At that time, the famous artists included Zhou Yueyuan in Xianfeng of the Qing Dynasty, ye zhongsan in the late Qing Dynasty and the early Republic of China, Ma Shaoxuan in the Republic of China. There are agate, crystal stone, amber and other kinds of inner painted pots. When painting, according to the shape of the pot with a special curved pen design, painting works of various themes.
