Chaozhou Jinshan ancient pine

Jinshan stands on the Bank of Hanjiang River in the north of the city. It is about 40 meters high and looks like a cauldron. It is the back pillow of Chaozhou ancient city. With Hulu mountain in the West and Bijia mountain in the East, it forms three barriers of Chaozhou.

The Yuan Dynasty bribed Huang Huzi, an inspector in Nanmen, as its internal agent, to capture Chaozhou City, and Ma Fa "collected more than 100 disabled people into baozi city (namely Jinshan). He made his wife hang himself and poisoned himself. "The whole city was killed several times in the process of Yuan soldiers slaughtering the city. In memory of Ma FA and Chaozhou people's resistance to the Yuan Dynasty, later generations built Ma FA's tomb on the Jinshan mountain and planted pines and cypresses to symbolize the high wind and integrity. Zheng Lanzhi said in a poem:

Jinshan North pillow from the peak, eternal shade of a pine.

It's a hundred feet high in the clouds. It's green and can endure three winters of snow.

Historical records

The governor's court in Tang Dynasty and the state government in Song Dynasty were both located at the foot of Jinshan mountain. In the Xiangfu period of song Dazhong (1008-1016), Wang Han, who was in charge of military affairs in Chaozhou, saw that "the shape of mountains is better than ten thousand states". So he cut the thorns, built the civil engineering, opened the path, built the litchi Pavilion, the Phoenix Pavilion, the chuyang Pavilion, the Xihui Pavilion, created the Duxiu Peak, the chuyang peak, the Wangxian stone, and the xianshigang scenery. In the past dynasties, Jinshan has been constantly repaired and carved poems on the rocks to record events, making it a tourist attraction.

Although there were only 30 questions left in the cultural relics survey in 1984, the rich content and high historical value of the inscriptions can not be underestimated. Among these stone inscriptions are the inscription of "the first mountain" by Mi Fu, a great calligrapher of Song Dynasty, the inscription of "Jincheng Mountain" by Wang Han, a master of military affairs in Song Dynasty, the inscription of "Zheng Shen's city building" in Zhihe period, the inscription of "Yang's war rebellion" written by the king of Yuan Dynasty, as well as Zhu Xi's handwriting of "Zhuo Wo" and "Qinghui Tongqu" in Yuan Dynasty and "Fengtai Waili" in Ming Dynasty Stone inscriptions on scenery, imperial examination titles and poems, and Jinshan Moyan stone inscriptions are not only precious materials of Chaozhou history, but also a grand view of calligraphy in Jinshan scenic area.
