Dadaocheng

Dadaocheng is the most prosperous place in the history of Taipei after kawaka. It was especially prosperous under Japanese rule. It was the commercial and trade center of Taipei at that time, and also a place where people and culture gathered. Introduction to the plot

Youxi, a college student, is a modern boy who is a little melancholy and doesn't have a big goal in life. Under the guidance of Zhu Geliang, a somewhat eccentric professor of history, they went back to Dadaocheng, the most prosperous city in Taiwan during the Japanese occupation in 1920s. Unexpectedly, they were involved in the "Japanese crown prince's visit to Taiwan", "Jiang Weishui's resistance" and other important events in history. They also follow Dadaocheng, which is bustling with people, to open a tailor's shop alone, a Chun, a tough woman, and ARI, the most famous and versatile artist of color and art.

Ye Tianlun, a Taiwanese director who has entered the "billion club" with the film "chicken chops hero", began to actively participate in the preparation of the new film "Dadaocheng". In order to study the aesthetics of the Japanese occupation era, a few days ago, he specially visited the exhibition of "the first year of the new Taiwan Railway" on the 125th anniversary of the Taiwan Railway. He was surprised to see the antique railway carriage on which the crown prince of Japan came to Taiwan in 1923! Ye Tianlun said that he was a train fan since he was a child. Seeing the luxury furnishings in the antique carriage, he was dazzled for a moment, as if he had entered the dream scene in his movie "Dadaocheng". He also said that he would take this as an important benchmark for him to create the scene of the film, leading the audience into the most fashionable era of Dadaocheng in those years. The production cost of the whole film is about 30 million yuan. The key figure in the film wants to invite "chicken chops lucky star" Zhu Geliang to perform again, and make the set-up scene a light viewing spot. The film started shooting in February 2013 and was released in the Spring Festival of 2014.
