Xianyan scenic spot is one of the first batch of provincial scenic spots announced by Zhejiang Provincial People's Government on August 19, 1985. It is located in Xianyan Town, Ouhai District, Wenzhou City, Zhejiang Province, at the West foot of Daluo mountain, between Wenzhou and Rui'an. It is 19 kilometers away from Wenzhou City, 17 kilometers away from Rui'an City. It is located on the east side of national highway 104 and Ningbo Taizhou Wenzhou Expressway under construction, and 18 bus and bus in Wenzhou City The special line in Rui'an City is directly to Xianyan, so the traffic is very convenient.

Main attractions

Xianyan scenic spot, known as "the wonder of nine lions and one elephant, the beauty of five pools and two wells", not only has unique and beautiful natural scenery, such as strange mountains and rocks, Lianquan cascade, Bitan green well, natural building cave, ancient wood camellia, but also the fascinating legend and long history of human landscape reflect the rich connotation of Xianyan scenic spot. In 1994, it was named patriotic education base by Ruian municipal Party committee and government, and in April 2000, it was named Wenzhou patriotic education base by Wenzhou municipal Party committee and government.

With a total area of 30.5 square kilometers, Xianyan scenic spot is naturally divided into three major scenic spots due to its topography and resources: the first scenic spot is Xianyan scenic spot with pools and waterfalls as its characteristics and cultural landscape as its typical; the second scenic spot is Huacheng Cave Scenic Spot with quiet cave scenery as its characteristics and Huacheng cave and Luoyin cave as its typical; the third scenic spot is characterized by vast water scenery and Tianhe and xiulong reservoirs as its typical The Tianhe scenic area is a beautiful one. At present, there are 108 scenic spots in the three scenic spots, among which the pictographic Rock Scenic Spot is the most, especially the Shengxian rock beside Meiyu pool in Xianyan scenic spot. Looking up at its shape, it rises from the ground and stands out on the top of other mountains. It is rugged and precipitous. The ancients described its graceful demeanor with the words of "cutting rocks to force Xiaohan" and "Lingfeng to produce Yuhan". Others, such as Liumi rock, Qipan rock, Jiangjun rock and Shengui rock, have their own wonderful and enlightening legends.

Among the natural landscapes of Xianyan scenic spot, there is a golden heart Camellia in Huacheng Cave Scenic spot. It is 12 meters high and 33 cm in diameter. Through the research of plant experts in China and Japan, it has been confirmed that it has been more than 1200 years and can be called the world Camellia king. As early as in May 1981, the famous Chinese horticulturist Mr. Wang Yiping introduced this camellia The elder of Camellia. On the baijiajian (mountain name) of Tianhe scenic spot, you can see the strange scene of "the sun and the moon rise together" in the early morning of the first day of July and the first day of August every year.
