Houji Island

Houji island is located on the north side of Changshan waterway, an international waterway. It has been equipped with navigation facilities. The lighthouse and navigation gun (later changed to fog signal) on the island are no less than the light given by the sea god in the eyes of fishermen. People call it a navigation island. Houji Island, with an area of only 0.28 square kilometers and an altitude of 104 meters, is the "eyes and ears" of fishermen and the marine police of sailing on the sea.

Houji island covers an area of only 0.28 square kilometers, with an altitude of 104 meters. It is the "eyes and ears" of fishermen and the marine police of sailing on the sea. At its northwest end, there is a small Houji island with an area of only 0.0009 square kilometers and an altitude of 23 meters. With the development of navigation and the invasion of Western powers, the small rivet like Houji island has been set into the international chart.

After the signing of the Sino British Yantai treaty in 1876, the British built the first lighthouse in Miaodao archipelago in 1882. The tower is 14.2 meters high and is made of white flash light with a range of 28 kilometers. 1928. The second fleet of the Northeast Navy (Fengxi) entered Changshan island. Shen Honglie, commander of the Navy, installed fog signals on Houji island. The main landscapes are: Lighthouse, fog horn.
