Located on nanwangli Cultural Park Road, Beinan Cultural Park covers an area of 18 hectares. In 1975, Beinan site was listed as a local historic site. In 1979, it was upgraded to a third grade historic site in Taiwan. The moon shaped stone pillar area is a first grade historic site.

Basic introduction

The biggest feature of Beinan Cultural Park is the continuous archaeological excavation. On the one hand, it establishes a site preservation Museum for public display, achieving multiple functions of academic research, site preservation, and promotion and education. In addition, the broad lawn park has become the best place for people's leisure.

Beinan site is the largest site in Taiwan with the most abundant underground cultural relics. It is also the largest tomb group site in Southeast Asia. The main contents are the tombs and residential areas of the ancestors of the Neolithic culture in Beinan two or three thousand years ago. At present, more than 400 sarcophagus have been excavated, and the first prehistoric human house in Taiwan has been excavated, and countless jade, stone and pottery have been unearthed. From the rich modeling of relics, fine handicrafts and the custom of thick burial after death, we can get a glimpse of the high level of civilization at that time.

Taitung County has planned to build a museum to collect unearthed cultural relics, which will not only contribute to the development of tourism in Taitung, but also allow people to see the specific historical sites in Taiwan.

1. "National highway" No.5: from "national highway" No.1 (Zhongshan high) to Xizhi system interchange, turn to "national highway" No.5 (Beiyi Expressway), cross Xueshan tunnel, drive from su'ao interchange to Taiwan No.9 direction, reach Taidong City, then go along Gengsheng road to Beinan, turn left to Wenchang Road and go straight to Beinan Cultural Park.

2. "National highway" No.5: from "national highway" No.3 (second high) to Nangang system interchange, turn to "national highway" No.5 (Beiyi Expressway), cross Xueshan tunnel, drive from su'ao interchange to Taiwan No.9 direction, reach Taidong City, then go along Gengsheng road to Beinan, turn left to Wenchang Road and go straight to Beinan Cultural Park. Public transport:

1. Train: take Huadong railway to Taidong railway station and walk for 10 minutes to Beinan Cultural Park.

2. Passenger transportation: take dingdong passenger mountain line to chishang and Guanshan, then walk to Beinan middle school station for 10 minutes to reach Beinan Cultural Park.
