Located in the center of Tangshan City, Tangshan science and Technology Museum is a popular science education infrastructure to build a scientific development demonstration area and a happy city for the people, improve the people's scientific and cultural literacy, promote public understanding of science, and strengthen and improve the ideological and moral construction of minors. It was officially opened to the outside world on November 12, 2001.

Tangshan science and Technology Museum is built under the cordial care of Tangshan Municipal Party committee and government, the strong support of relevant municipal departments and the direct leadership of Tangshan Association for science and technology. The total construction area of the exhibition building is 7500 square meters, and the total exhibition area is nearly 5000 square meters. Mao Yisheng, a famous scientist and founder of modern bridge engineering in China, and Zhou Guangzhao, former vice chairman of the Standing Committee of the National People's Congress and chairman of the China Association for science and technology, successively inscribed the name of Tangshan science and Technology Museum.

Since its opening ten years ago, Tangshan science and Technology Museum has received more than 1.2 million visitors at all levels, and has held a series of science popularization report meetings, science and technology festivals, exhibition of advocating scientific civilization and Youth Science and technology exhibition and other rich and colorful science and technology and culture communication activities, which have been fully affirmed and praised by the general public, and have made due contributions to Tangshan science popularization education and socialist spiritual civilization construction Offer. The exhibition mainly includes more than 200 exhibits (sets) in aviation and aerospace, force and machinery, life science, information technology, environmental science and basic science. Tangshan New Science and Technology Museum under construction (as shown in the figure below) is located in Fenghuang new city, with a total investment of 430 million yuan and a total area of 35000 square meters. It is planned to be officially opened to the public in 2012.

Tangshan science and technology museum opens from Wednesday to Sunday, receives groups from Wednesday to Friday, and receives scattered audiences on Saturday and Sunday. 9:00 a.m. - 17:20 p.m. and rest on Monday and Tuesday. It is open all day during winter and summer holidays.

The opening time of the library is from June 30, 2010 to August 29, 2010 in summer, from 9:00 to 11:50 in the morning and from 14:00 to 17:20 in the afternoon from Wednesday to Friday. It opens all day on Saturday and Sunday from 9:00 to 17:20. Closed on Monday and Tuesday.
