Cihu palace is commonly known as jinbaoli Mazu temple. It was completed in the 14th year of Jiaqing (1809 AD) and named as "Tianhou Palace". Later, it was renamed as "Cihu Palace" because of the flourishing incense of Mazu god worshipped from Yeliu.
Cihu Palace
Cihu temple is a Taoist temple located in Datong village, Jinshan Township, Taipei County, Taiwan Province. It was built in the 14th year of Jiaqing in Qing Dynasty.
According to Taiwan Temple grand view, it was first built in 1809, the 14th year of Jiaqing in Qing Dynasty. It was called Tianhou palace and was dedicated to Mazu. Soon after that, it was renamed Cihu palace because of the worship of Shennong, Guanyin, Guandi, Qianliyan and shunfenger. It was rebuilt in 1841, destroyed in 1867, rebuilt in 1873 and rebuilt in 1901 In 1909, the front hall was repaired. In 1935, the East and West corridors were rebuilt and the front and rear halls were painted.
