Renhuai Maotai Town

Maotai town has always been a famous town in northern Guizhou and a famous wine Holy Land in China. It is located on the Bank of Chishui River in Renhuai City, surrounded by mountains and with dangerous terrain. The ancient "Salt River walks Guizhou, Qin Shang Ju Moutai" portrayal; the Baijiu industry flourished in the region, the local production of "Moutai wine" has a long history. In 1915, Moutai wine was awarded the gold medal at the Panama World Exposition. Maotai Town has been world-famous since then, and has been among the world's famous wine in the early twentieth Century. Located in Maotai distillery of Huairen City, the national liquor culture city covers an area of more than 3000 square meters. There are seven pavilions in Han, Tang, song, yuan, Ming, Qing and modern times. There are more than 5000 plaques, paintings, calligraphy and cultural relics in the collection. This paper systematically introduces the development process of Chinese liquor industry in the past dynasties and the allusions of politics, economy, culture and folk custom related to liquor in Chinese history. It condenses the brilliance and essence of Chinese 5000 year liquor culture and reflects the development course of Maotai liquor. The museum was named the Guinness World's largest museum in Shanghai in 1999.

Traffic information: take a bus from Zhongzhuang bus station in Zunyi to Renhuai City, and then transfer from Renhuai City to a minibus to Maotai town. You can also take a bus at the roadside.
