Wukeshu riverside tourist area

Wukeshu riverside tourist area is located in Songhua River, 1.5km south of Wukeshu Town, Yushu City, Jilin Province, with a total area of 3.64km2 and a riverside length of 20km. It mainly includes Zhanjiang temple, Wukeshu wharf, Songjiang Canyon and other scenic spots.

Main attractions

Zhanjiang Temple

The temple was built during the reign of Emperor Kangxi of the Qing Dynasty and has a history of more than 300 years. During the cultural revolution, the temple was destroyed and rebuilt on its original scale in 1992. In 1999, master Shi Kuanyan expanded Zhanjiang temple. Covering an area of 45000 square meters, the temple is mainly composed of Tianwang hall, Daxiong hall, Wofo hall and lotus pond. Temples and pavilions are all antique buildings, with green tile cornices, carved beams and painted buildings, simple and elegant.

Riverside Wharf

The wharf was built in 1993, with an annual throughput capacity of 2000 tons and about 400 tons. The upstream reaches Jilin City and Songhua Lake, and the downstream reaches Harbin, Jiamusi and Khabarovsk, Russia. After the dredging of Songhua River Channel in Jilin Province, the terminal will start freight and passenger transportation. There are 8 cruise ships at the wharf, which travel to and from the nearby river for tourists.

Songjiang Gorge

Located at the East Bank of Songhua River 15 km upstream of the wharf in the tourist area, it is a huge gully formed by the long-term erosion of the surface soil by water. It is about 1.5 km long from east to west, with the widest part reaching 300 meters and the deepest part 72 meters. The ravines in the canyon are crisscross and crisscross, which is a unique landform rarely seen on the plain. Since 2005, the National Water Conservancy Department has invested more than 21 million yuan to plant more than 1 million trees and build a dam, which not only controls soil erosion, but also improves the construction of the scenic spot. The red stone cliff in the valley is covered with green trees, and the mountain springs and streams are widely distributed.

Tourism season

Every year, tens of thousands of people visit the temple fairs, Dragon Boat Festival, national day and other holidays on the 8th, 18th and 28th day of the lunar calendar. It is the most potential tourist area in Yushu city.

Railway

Take train 4231, 4305 / 4308 and k7461 at Changchun station to Wukeshu station.

Take train No. 4232, 4306 / 4307 and k7462 at Jiangbei station (Jilin City) and Yushu station to Wukeshu station.

highway

Changchun Kaixuan Road passenger station has direct buses to Wukeshu town; buses from this station to Yushu city can also reach Wukeshu town.

There is a shuttle bus to Wukeshu town every 10 minutes at Yushu highway passenger terminal (individual passenger station), and there is a fast through bus to Yutao first-class highway every 20 minutes.

Town

Three bus lines have been opened in the town, one of which is by the river (scenic spot) - cattle market - beijiliang, which can be used to go back and forth to the town; in addition, there are many beckoning stops and taxis in the town, which can also go directly to the scenic spot.

There are 25 hotels and guest houses in Wukeshu Town, 1.5 km away from the tourist area. Most of the rooms are standard rooms for two people, about 20 yuan per person per day.

Restaurant

There is a hotel in the tourist area, and there are more than 40 hotels in Wukeshu Town, which mainly deal in farm and Hui food made of chicken, river fish, dried tofu, roast sheep, etc. Among them, five stem tofu are famous for its thin, tough and fragrant, and have been exported to Japan and other countries. The daily food consumption is about 100 yuan per person.
