Longdong University

The predecessor of Longdong college is Qingyang normal college, which was established in 1978. In 2001, Qingyang Agricultural Science Research Institute and Qingyang agricultural school were merged into the whole. In 2003, Longdong University was established with the approval of the Ministry of education. In 2012, Qingyang health school was incorporated as a whole. The school implements the system of Co Construction of province and land, with province as the main body.

The school now covers an area of more than 1400 mu, with a building area of 550000 square meters. The total value of fixed assets is more than 1 billion yuan, and the total value of teaching equipment is 110 million yuan. The library has 1.49 million books (including 520000 e-books).

The school has 16071 full-time students. There are 1073 teaching staff, including 794 full-time teachers. Among the full-time teachers, 288 are professors and associate professors, and 498 have doctor's or master's degrees.

The university has 19 secondary colleges, including literature, history and geography, foreign languages, education, politics and law, economic management, mathematics and statistics, life science and technology, agriculture and forestry science and technology, music, fine arts, sports, electrical engineering, chemical engineering, information engineering, civil engineering, energy engineering, mechanical engineering, Qibo Medical College, and 57 undergraduate majors, which enroll students from 24 provinces and cities in China.

At present, the university has 1 national characteristic specialty, 1 national science practice education base, 5 provincial characteristic specialties, 4 provincial teaching teams, 4 provincial teaching demonstration centers and 18 provincial excellent courses. There are 1 provincial key discipline, 1 provincial key cultivation discipline, 2 provincial key laboratories, 2 provincial key research bases of Humanities and Social Sciences, and 1 provincial key research base of Humanities and social sciences. Four engineering technology research centers were established with Qingyang City. Two collaborative innovation centers have been established.

The university has established intercollegiate cooperation and exchange relations with 17 universities, including the University of Northern Arizona in the United States and the University of tutsia in Italy. It has joined the "1 + 2 + 1 Sino US talent training program" project and sent students to study in the United States, Belarus, Ukraine, Romania, Poland and other countries. It has signed inter school cooperation agreements with China Cultural University, Lanzhou University, East China Normal University and other universities in Taiwan, and selected excellent students to study in Lanzhou University and East China Normal University every year.
