Shaanxi Preschool Normal University

Shaanxi Preschool Normal University is located in the ancient capital Xi'an. It is a provincial regular undergraduate college based in Shaanxi Province, with teacher education as the main body, pre service training and post service training as the main characteristics, serving and leading the reform and development of basic education. It is one of the important bases for the training of primary and secondary school teachers, campus leaders and basic education management cadres in Shaanxi Province, and it is also an entrepreneurial college in Shaanxi Province Research and development of Xi'an college students entrepreneurship training base. The college, formerly known as Shaanxi Institute of education, was established in 1963 by the merger of Shaanxi Xi'an normal school (established in 1906) and Shaanxi teachers' training school (established in 1956). In March 2012, with the approval of the Ministry of education and the people's Government of Shaanxi Province, the college was restructured and renamed as Shaanxi Preschool Normal University. Over the past hundred years, the college has trained more than 130000 college students, and trained more than 100000 primary and secondary school teachers, kindergarten teachers, and school (kindergarten) heads. It has made important contributions to the development of basic education in Shaanxi Province, and has been hailed as "the cradle of basic education teachers and campus heads" by all walks of life.

The college has two campuses, Chang'an and Yanta, with a total area of more than 720 mu. Chang'an campus has been constructed since 2008, and now it has become the main campus of the college, which mainly undertakes the education and training tasks of undergraduate and junior college students; Yanta campus mainly undertakes the training tasks. The function orientation of the two campuses is clear and the layout is reasonable.

The college now has 15 teaching departments, including preschool education department, education department, Chinese language and Literature Department, political economy department, history, culture and Tourism Department, environmental resources and management department, foreign language and Literature Department, mathematics department, computer science and Technology Department, biological science and Technology Department, chemistry and chemical engineering Department, physics and electronic technology department, fine arts department, music department and physical education department There are 11 subjects and 45 general specialties, covering eight disciplines including pedagogy, philosophy, literature, history, economics, law, science and art. The college also has 20 scientific research institutions including preschool education research center and Entrepreneurship Education Research Center. More than 10 management institutions, training institutions or skill appraisal and certification institutions, such as Shaanxi Provincial Office of continuing education for middle school teachers, Shaanxi Provincial teacher qualification certification and guidance center, Shaanxi Provincial Executive Office of primary and secondary school teacher training program, have also successively settled in our hospital.

At present, the college has more than 9000 ordinary college students and 1500 adult college students. At present, there are more than 750 teaching staff and 529 full-time teachers and professional technicians. Among the full-time teachers and professional technicians, there are 221 with senior titles, 361 with master's degree or above (including 60 with doctor's degree); there are 4 provincial famous teachers, and more than 20 people have won the honorary titles of provincial excellent educators and provincial model teachers. The college has two provincial teaching teams and employs two foreign cultural and educational experts for many years.

At present, the college has 4 provincial key majors, 1 national excellent resource sharing course for teacher education, 4 provincial excellent courses, 1 training base jointly built by Ministry and province, and 1 provincial education training base; it has 3 provincial excellent teaching materials, 10 provincial teaching reform research projects, 4 provincial higher education and teaching achievement awards, and 17 provincial basic education and teaching achievement awards.

Since 2009, teachers of the college have published more than 740 papers in core journals, among which 56 papers have been included by SCI and EI retrieval system as the first author; teachers of the college have presided over 3 national scientific research projects, 78 provincial and ministerial scientific research projects, and 57 awards above department level. In recent years, new breakthroughs have been made in the school local cooperation and the integration of production, teaching and research. The Institute of bioengineering has developed 32 series of new products such as walnut, pomegranate, Eucommia ulmoides and Cornus officinalis, and obtained 18 national invention patents. The products supervised by the Institute are sold all over the country.

The college has continuously increased investment and made efforts to improve the conditions for running the school. The building area of teaching building, training building, library and student apartment reaches 240000 square meters; the library has a collection of more than 930000 books, 400000 e e-books and 20000 ancient books, equipped with modern library information management system; the total value of teaching and scientific research equipment of the college is more than 46 million yuan, including 135 experimental training rooms, 79 practical training bases, experimental middle schools, primary schools and children's colleges One for each garden.

The college actively carries out a wide range of international academic exchanges and cooperation, and has signed inter school cooperation agreements with universities and scientific research institutions in more than 10 countries, such as the United States, Canada, and the United Kingdom, on university management, academic exchanges, and personnel training.
