Founded by the National Information Center in 1993, China Information University has developed into a private higher education institution. At the beginning of its establishment, Wang Chunzheng, director of the state information center, was the honorary president of the school, Liu He, executive deputy director of the state information center, served as the chairman, and Du Lian, deputy director, served as the president. In July 1995, Zou Jiahua, then Vice Premier of the State Council, wrote the name of the school. In order to make more effective use of domestic and foreign school running resources and deepen teaching reform, the University was restructured and restructured with the approval of Beijing Municipal Education Commission in 2003, and has now developed into a comprehensive, full-time university.

Department setting

The school has four departments: Basic Education Department, information engineering department, e-commerce department and cultural creativity department.

The Department of basic education is responsible for the general education of freshmen, comprehensively improving the quality of students, so that students have a deep knowledge base, a wide range of social adaptation, and a long-term advantage in employment and survival competition.

Department of information engineering, Department of e-commerce and Department of cultural creativity are professional departments with 10 specialties covering 40 professional directions.
