Henan Vocational College of quality engineering is established with the approval of Henan Provincial People's government and the Ministry of education. At present, it is the only public higher vocational college in China that mainly cultivates advanced applied talents in technical supervision and quality inspection. It is located in Pingdingshan City, a famous industrial city in Central Plains. It has two campuses in the north and South and a large school run factory, covering an area of 585000 square meters and a building area of 277000 square meters Ten thousand square meters. The college has 6 departments and 4 departments, including Department of food and chemical industry, Department of economic management, Department of information engineering, Department of mechanical and electrical engineering, Department of architectural engineering, Department of law and politics, Department of five-year junior college, Department of basic science, Department of social science and Department of adult education, and 27 majors, including food inspection, agricultural product inspection, commodity quality inspection technology, quality inspection of mechanical and electrical products and engineering supervision. At present, the college has 11000 general students and 5100 open education and distance education students.

The college has complete basic teaching facilities, advanced teaching means and complete experimental facilities. At present, there are dozens of laboratories in food microbiology, metrology, electrical and electronic engineering, chemical engineering, etc.; there are 680700 books and e-books in total; there is a complete campus information exchange system, forming an advanced digital campus environment, and initially realizing the modernization of education, learning and public affairs.

Relying on its scientific research advantages in food testing, the College strives to make the "national food safety testing research center" approved by the General Administration of quality supervision, inspection and quarantine settle in our college. After the completion of the project, it will fill the blank of national food safety testing laboratory in Henan Province. The college has invested 53 million yuan to build a school run factory Pingdingshan Municipal solid waste harmless treatment plant, which is a key environmental protection project in Pingdingshan City. It has been put into trial operation and has become an important student practice base.

The college has 710 teaching staff, 410 teachers with senior and intermediate professional titles and "double qualification", including 138 teachers with deputy senior professional titles or above and 151 teachers with graduate degree or above. Guided by the scientific outlook on development, the college has established the school running concept of "precision, specialty and practicality" (the scale of running a school is not large, but refinement; the specialty setting is not complete, but characteristics; the cultivation of students is not high-level, but practical).
