Guangxi Police College

The predecessor of the college is Guangxi Public Security College, which was established in January 1950. It has experienced the development stages of Guangxi public security cadre school, Guangxi Public Security School of politics and law, Guangxi public security cadre school of politics and law, Guangxi People's police school and Guangxi Public Security Management Cadre College. In 2003, it was transformed into Guangxi police officer college; In 2015, with the consent of the Ministry of education and the approval of the people's Government of the autonomous region, it was upgraded to Guangxi police college. The college is under the charge of the Public Security Department of the autonomous region and under the professional guidance of the Education Department of the autonomous region. It is the only full-time regular undergraduate college in Guangxi to cultivate public security professionals.

The college has three campuses, Xianhu, Changhu and Beihai, covering an area of 427500 square meters (641.188 mu) and a building area of 278300 square meters. Among them, the teaching and scientific research administrative housing area is 154800 square meters. The total value of teaching and scientific research instruments and equipment is 60.884 million yuan, with a modern campus network service system.

The college has three undergraduate majors: investigation, public security and criminal science and technology; It has 12 specialties, including investigation, drug control, public security management, traffic management, criminal technology, police command and tactics, information network security supervision, police management, legal affairs, legal secretary, computer application technology and security, covering two disciplines of law and engineering, and three first-class disciplines of law, public security and public security technology. Among them, public security science and public security technology are the main subjects, law and electronic information are the supporting subjects, and security is the related major.

The college attaches great importance to the theoretical research and academic exchange of police science, and has nine characteristic research institutions close to the industry, including the anti drug research center, the research center of social stability in border and ethnic areas, and the ASEAN police research center.

After more than 60 years of exploration and practice, the college has formed a systematic and embedded police personnel training mode with distinctive characteristics of "research, teaching, learning, training, combat and thinking" integration, which fully serves the construction of basic informatization, actual combat, standardized law enforcement and team normalization of public security organs. It has trained more than 50000 qualified people's police and trained 70000 on-the-job police for Guangxi At the same time, it undertakes more than three training courses for foreign police of the Ministry of public security every year, which is known as the cradle of Bagui police officers.
