Anhui Foreign Economic Vocational College (formerly Anhui Agricultural University Foreign Economic Vocational College) is a higher college approved by Anhui provincial government and registered by the Ministry of education of the people's Republic of China.

The college is located in the University City of Hefei, the capital city of science and education, adjacent to the new administrative and Cultural District in the West and Binhu New Town in the south. It has beautiful scenery, beautiful environment, rich humanities, convenient transportation, rich university resources and strong regional advantages. With a construction area of nearly 200000 square meters, the college is a garden style school with colorful flowers, square fountains, winding garden roads and shady trees. The college has multi-function hall, academic lecture hall, multimedia classroom, computer room and professional laboratory, as well as more than 20 professional off campus practice and training bases. The college has 630000 paper and electronic books, and is equipped with a computer retrieval system. At present, the college has 8 departments, 24 majors and more than 5000 students. In the eight years since its establishment, the college has trained nearly 10000 talents for the society.

The college has a team of counselors who are proficient in business, have a strong sense of responsibility and high quality. The college has always focused on education and teaching, comprehensively improved the quality of teaching, and established a strong teaching team. There are 290 full-time teachers in the college, of which 31% have deputy senior titles, 32% have master's degree, and 4 are full-time foreign teachers. With close contact and cooperation with local, industrial, large and medium-sized enterprises, a group of senior technical talents with practical experience in production, operation and management have been enriched into the teaching team, so that the proportion of "double qualification" teachers in the college has reached 15%. The students of our college have got the ninth place in A-level and the second place in B-level in the province's College English AB level examination, and the passing rate of computer level examination is among the best in similar colleges. In 2008, the results of the college entrance examination were gratifying, and the admission rate reached more than 60%. In particular, this year, the passing rate of our college's upgrading from junior college to undergraduate reached 70%, of which the passing rate of business English major was 100%, and the passing rate of international economy and trade, accounting and auditing, machinery manufacturing and automation and other majors was more than 90%.

Under the leadership of the party and League organizations and the student union, the college has set up more than 30 student groups. Every year, the college holds campus cultural and Art Festival, theme speech competition, sports meeting, ball games and other cultural and sports activities, organizes students to participate in various cultural and sports activities in Hefei and Anhui Province, provides a good campus cultural environment for students to grow up and promote their all-round development.

The college bases itself on China and expands overseas, so that "foreign affairs" has its rich connotation. Since 2001, it has carried out various academic exchanges and cooperation with Britain, France, Germany, Australia, Canada, New Zealand, Singapore, Japan and other countries. The leaders of the college have led many delegation to Europe, Australia and other countries for investigation and visits, and signed inter school exchange agreements with famous Australian Universities such as Curtin University of science and technology, Edith Cowan University, and Murdoch University More than 100 students have gone to Australia for further study. After completing their bachelor's degree, more than 30 students continue to study for master's degree in universities such as Curtin University, University of Sydney and University of Queensland.

The college takes employment as the guidance, implements the "top leader" project in the employment work of graduates, specially establishes the Employment Guidance Center for graduates, offers employment guidance courses, and long-term invites well-known entrepreneurs and well-known enterprise managers to carry out employment guidance lectures and training in the college. The college has made great efforts to broaden employment channels, set up graduate employment offices in the Yangtze River Delta, Pearl River Delta and other regions, and established school enterprise cooperation with nearly 100 enterprises inside and outside the province. In 2008, it signed an agreement with Anhui talent training center to set up a training base for service outsourcing talents and a vocational training base for China's software professional talents training engineering. Every year, all kinds of talent exchange meetings and graduate promotion meetings are held. As the college adheres to the close combination with market demand, constantly reforms teaching and improves personnel training mode, graduates have high foreign language level and strong professional ability, and are widely favored by employers. The average annual employment rate of graduates is more than 98%. In 2008, the employment rate of graduates was 98.3%, and the quality of employment was high. Especially in this year's global financial crisis, the employment of graduates is generally difficult. The employment of graduates of our college has still achieved gratifying results. By the end of May, the employment rate of graduates of our college in 2009 was 87.53%, and it is expected that this year's employment rate will reach last year's level.

In 2008, our college established the Ministry of continuing education. Adhering to the principle of "rigorous teaching to ensure quality", our college has strict management and strict requirements. In January 2009, the students participated in the national higher education self-study examination. The average passing rate of the whole college was 69.8%, 10 percentage points higher than the average passing rate of the whole province. After its own reform and development, the Ministry of continuing education of our college has formed a distinctive feature of "foreign language + major + skill + entrepreneurial quality". It has successively set up 17 majors and more than 10 kinds of vocational skill training, forming an education group coordinated with higher vocational education.

In order to meet the needs of the continuous development of the college, in 2008, our college acquired 500 mu of land in the vocational education base of Yaohai District, Hefei, and started the construction of a new campus. The new campus is constructed from a high starting point, creating a better learning environment for the majority of students. Nearly 80000 square meters will be built in the first phase, and new students will be able to settle in the new campus this autumn.

The fruitful achievements of the college have been fully affirmed and widely praised by all walks of life, students and parents, and received cordial care and strong support from leaders at all levels. Provincial and municipal leaders have visited the college for many times and highly appraised its development and achievements. College in 2005 was identified as the province's first batch of junior college admission institutions.
